Britney Spears 'will appear in court' as her mother Lynne tries to obtain the singer's medical files while conservator dad Jamie continues to battle illness

Britney Spears will appear in court in Los Angeles on Friday.
The 37-year-old singer will be by her mother Lynne Spears' side as she tries to obtain the Toxic singer's medical files and treatment plan, according to TMZ.
The site added that Lynne does not want to become her daughter's co-conservator. Britney's father Jamie has been the star's sole conservator for the past 11 years.
But she does want to look at the medical records because her daughter is allegedly 'not doing well.' A conservator is the only person who can look at those records.

'Lynne does not want to become a co-conservator, which creates a weird legal argument ... the right to medical information but no right to act on it,' a source told the site.
Britney and Lynne were estranged for almost 15 years, but they have grown closer recently.
This week Lynne has been staying at Britney's Thousand Oaks, California mansion.
Britney cut Lynne out of her life right after her breakup with Justin Timberlake, claimed a source.
Britney and Justin split in 2002 after three years together; he went on to date Cameron Diaz and is now married to Jessica Biel.

Earlier it was claimed that her mother was worried about Britney when reading online that she was forced to take certain drugs when at a mental health facility for 30 days.
Britney is siding with her mother in court because she reportedly 'she wants freedom.' And it has been claimed that she is hoping her mother will 'ease the restrictions.'
It has been reported many times that Britney is in bad shape and that her 'judgment is impaired' because her medications are still not working right.

She has reportedly been diagnosed as bi-polar and according to webmd.com, finding the right balance of medications is tricky. It was added the formula has to be changed every few years. This is called maintenance therapy.
The medications usually used to treat bi-polar disorder are Olanzapine (Zyprexa), Quetiapine (Seroquel), Risperidone (Risperdal), Ariprazole (Abilify), Ziprasidone (Geodon) and Clozapine (Clozaril).
'Britney is making bad decisions and it's a problem,' a source told TMZ. 'Her meds stopped working and doctors have been unable to find the right combination of drugs.'
Earlier this week TMZ claimed the 64-year-old Mississippi-born matriarch wants to step because Jamie is ill. But sources have said Lynne is too lax.

Spears has been under court-ordered permanent conservatorship of her father Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet since being put on 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold in 2008.
Lynne was last pictured on Monday cradling 13-month-old granddaughter Ivey while on board an airplane with her 28-year-old daughter Jamie Lynn.
