Nene Leakes reveals husband Gregg is cancer-free after disease strained their marriage to the breaking point
Nene Leakes took to social media with some good news on Monday sharing that her husband Gregg, 64, is officially cancer-free.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star had been serving as Gregg's caretaker since 2018 when the couple announced that he was suffering from stage three colon cancer.
Gregg's illness has taken a toll on the couple's marriage in addition to his health and this may give them a needed opportunity to work on their relationship.

In the caption, the 51-year-old expressed her joy and excitement over the news: 'Look at God! We are over joyed to say, we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg’s Pet Scan he took last week!

Nene's fans flooded the comments on the post with their praise and support including fellow housewife Jill Zarin who wrote 'Omg! So so happy Greg!!! And nene!!!!'
Over the last year, Nene has struggled as a caretaker for Gregg who was a difficult and sometimes mean patient.

Much of the couple's issues were played out on season 11 of their hit Bravo show, with Nene coming close to calling it quits.
Their marital strain came to a head recently during the RHOA reunion in April when Gregg joined his wife of over 20 years.
During the reunion, Andy asked if they both wanted to 'save the marriage,' and Gregg replied firmly: 'I do.'
NeNe, however, noticeably refused to declare the same.

'I can't tell you anything that I'm going to do,' she said. 'I feel like I have been pushed up against a wall. And I'm coming out like, "No!"'
Gregg later admitted to Cohen that while he loves Nene they may end up just 'best of friends at the end.'
When Andy said that the cancer diagnosis appeared to make 'everything exponentially worse' for them, NeNe agreed that it added a 'strain' but stressed that it was not the key issue.

'I was difficult at times,' Gregg agreed. 'I'm not a poster-child for calmness. Nobody's perfect.'
She admitted they were in counseling and no longer slept in the same room, saying: 'Our relationship is not ... great.'
