It's been a tense time for the Toxic hitmaker who recently told a judge her father committed her to a mental health facility and forced her to take medication against her will.

She is currently making a legal bid to end the conservatorship her father Jamie, 66, has held since she was hospitalized in 2008 and deemed legally incapable of taking care of herself.

But Britney now wants a court to end her father's control over her financial, medical and work affairs.

Jamie has lately been suffering from complications following two surgeries to correct 'serious issues' with his colon and spleen.

On April 3, Britney checked into a mental health facility to undergo treatment but she is now back at her home outside Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, her mother is trying to obtain her medical files and treatment plan from Jamie and told the website that Britney is 'not doing well'.

Britney and her mom were in court on Friday for a hearing before a judge and the pop star reportedly said her father had committed her for treatment without her consent and forced her to take medication against her will. Her mother's lawyer claimed the same thing, TMZ reported.

On Friday, Britney left the court in LA court barefoot and is understood to have asked for more freedoms under the conservatorship but the request was not granted during the closed doors hearing.

The judge did, however, order an expert evaluation of the mother-of-two.
