NEW A grandmother who collided with a police car when she fell asleep at the wheel has revealed she re-watches the shocking crash video.  The police car's harrowing dash-cam footage shows Sandra Fisk cross onto the wrong side of the Pacific Highway near Illuka, NSW, and slam into the parked highway patrol car head-on. The crash happened in December last year when Ms Fisk and her two step-grandchildren were about 30 minutes into their journey toward Sydney. 

Coles lets customers save up to 60 per cent on groceries by super-sizing their orders

Australian supermarket giant Coles is super-sizing its products to compete with bulk-buying giant Costco. The larger product range, including pasta, cereals, cous-cous and bread crumbs, will be available in stores from Wednesday.  Coles' decision will help its customers save up to 60 per cent on the bulk purchase of some products and up to 40 per cent on others, the supermarket said on Tuesday.

Musk and his SpaceX engineers built a small submarine to help with the rescue but the device wasn't used and Unsworth called it a 'PR stunt' on CNN. The billionaire retaliated by calling Unsworth a 'pedo guy' on Twitter (inset) and later a 'child rapist' in a background email to a reporter. Musk's lawyer Alex Spiro argues Unsworth is not only making a money grab, but is trying to 'milk media coverage' over the case. Spiro says the suit is unfounded because Unsworth's reputation is 'no worse off', pointing out that he was made a member of the Order of the British Empire.

Bodycam footage shows harrowing shootout between police and a suicidal gunman armed with two homemade assault weapons inside a San Diego apartment that left two officers injured and the suspect dead

Suspect Joe Darwish, 28, was wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with a homemade assault weapon and a homemade 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, according to the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, who said police were justified in their use of deadly force. Authorities had been responding to a call at the Rolando Court property when they noticed smoke and alerted fire personnel, the DA's release stated. Officers knocked on the front door for 20 minutes and when fire personnel finally tried to enter the home, they were met with gunfire. The DA's office states that Darwish then shot one of the responding officers in the back, ABC 10 reports. A gun battle ensued between Darwish and two officers as the wounded officer eventually managed to crawl away from the gunfire. A second officer was shot during the altercation. Officers eventually found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and discovered that he had also been shot in the face and arm by one of the police officer's shotguns.

Animal rights activists have urged Chinese authorities to launch an investigation after a video appears to show live puppies being put inside a claw machine for gamers to grab. The clip, believed to be filmed in a Chinese city, shows about ten pooches apparently trapped inside the arcade prize vending machine with a sign saying 'someone please come to take me home'. However, one Chinese claw machine expert told MailOnline that the clip was likely produced as a publicity stunt.

Newly discovered color images offer a rare glimpse of 1950s America during its boom years

Wolfgang Wild has always been fascinated with the past, and in 2010 he launched a blog called Retronaut. ‘It took off very quickly,’ Wild told DailyMail.com. ‘One of the posts went viral within the first few weeks. And it grew from there.’ After several years and posting thousands of archival images, Wild decided he wanted to turn his attention to color images, and started a new website called the Lost Colour Library. The online collection features images, such as the ones above of 1950s America that show the country from coast to coast: a ferry crossing the river from New York City, inset, to San Francisco, top right, to Chicago, main, to a storefront in Michigan, bottom left.

Pride of lions recreate classic Queen video in group picture where only heads can be seen

The four big cats were snapped posing with just their heads showing in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, facing in the same direction with their heads close together to recreate the famous Bohemian Rhapsody video by Queen. From a small pride known as Mukoma Mischiefs, the group is only made up of one adult female and her four young cubs, with one lion out of the frame. Photographer Daniel Rosengren managed to capture the once in a lifetime shot where the stealthy animals show only their heads in a perfect circle - just like the iconic cover of the Queen II album, which was used frequently throughout the band's career, including the music videos for Bohemian Rhapsody and One Vision a decade later.
