Kim Kardashian reveals she took 'corset breathing lessons' ahead of jaw-dropping Met Gala look... that didn't allow her to sit down

She revealed earlier in the week that her Thierry Mugler Met Gala dress was so tight that she couldn't even sit down.

And now Kim Kardashian has confessed that she even had to partake in 'corset breathing lessons' to step out in the jaw-dropping number.

Taking to her Instagram, the 38-year-old shared a candid shot of herself seeing the designs for the first time while sharing the tedious seven month process with fans.

'The day that I found out the Met Gala theme was “camp”, that same day we called @manfredthierrymugler the King of Camp!' she captioned.

'We met up in Miami right after the holidays last year and saw the sketches! I learned so much about couture from this genius man, it was beyond couture, it was art!'

'7 months in the making and fittings in Montreal, Paris and LA. Corset breathing lessons from none other than Mr. Pearl. It was worth it all!!! And this was the start of a magical inspiring connection.'

Kim commissioned Mr Peal for the lessons, the man who is noted as the world's most foremost corset-maker.

Last week she had also showcased the corset off the night in a behind-the-scenes video for Vogue, which saw her unable to sit down.

'Ok, Anna, so if I don't sit down for dinner, now you know why,' she began the video.

'I'll be walking around, mingling, talking, but I cannot hardly sit.'

'I'm riding [ to the Met] in a sprinter van on the way there with a pole, so I can hold on to the pole.'

Keep up with Kim in a dress by Mugler

Kim Kardashian looked nothing short of perfection as she walked the red carpet at the Met Gala on Monday.

Flaunting her incredible figure in a custom dress by Mugler, the nude number features a belted waist, ruched front and button-down design, and not forgetting those tear drop jewels which create a dripping, waterfall effect. With wet-style hair to match, Kim made sure to stand out from the crowd.

Sadly, her dress is custom-made, which means it can’t be bought but if a ruched mini is what’s missing from your wardrobe, then the edit below is for you.

We have handpicked lookalikes from Pinko, Nasty Gal, Superdown and Dolce & Gabbana that will do just the trick!

And while many praised Kim for her stunning 'fresh out of the ocean' look, others attacked her over her incredibly tiny and 'fake waist.'

However, her personal trainer Melissa Alcanta responded to critics and praised the star for her consistent efforts in the gym.

'To make things clear, 1. This dress is corseted BUT 2. Kim trains her a** off 6 days a f***ing week, she wakes up early af and is dedicated,' she wrote online.

3. I paved the road for her but SHE did the work! I love compliments either way. MOST IMPORTANTLY I don't give a s*** about your opinions on her body if you think she fake or not!'

Kim herself hasn't responded to any trolls, busy welcoming her fourth child into the world on Friday via surrogate.
