Hundreds gathered outside the Old Bailey in London today as it was revealed Tommy Robinson (left and right today) would face fresh contempt of court proceedings for filming outside Leeds Crown Court in 2018. The former English Defence League leader, 36, was jailed for 13 months in May last year over the allegation. But a contempt finding made against Robinson was quashed by the Court of Appeal in August and he was freed from prison after serving two months of his sentence. But earlier this month Attorney General Geoffrey Cox QC said it was in the public interest to bring fresh proceedings. And after a first hearing today it was decided that Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, will definitely face fresh proceedings. Robinson's footage, lasting around an hour and a half, was watched 250,000 times within hours of being posted on Facebook. It was filmed during one of a series of trials of a Huddersfield grooming gang, which was covered by strict reporting restrictions banning publication of any details until the end of the final one in September last year.

Richard Lovell (inset bottom), 31, attacked son R-Jay (left and right) at home in Chester when he was just three months old in February 2012 but will not face a murder charge over his death four years later. Lovell was jailed for two-and-a-half years in 2013 over the attack, which left R-Jay with a series of medical issues including cerebral palsy and daily seizures. He then developed pneumonia in January 2016 and died in hospital. Medical experts said the shaking 'likely' contributed to his death but said they could not be certain, leading to a verdict of natural causes at his inquest. Birgitte Kallestad , 24, (pictured) died on Monday, more than two months after rescuing a street dog while travelling in the Philippines. She and her friends sustained minor cuts and bites while playing with the dog, but none of them had been vaccinated for rabies. Birgitte, a health worker, began to feel unwell after returning home to Norway but doctors struggled to diagnose rabies - which has not been seen in mainland Norway since 1815. Birgitte's family are campaigning for rabies vaccines to become compulsory for those travelling to the Philippines.

An Australian man is among four people dead after two sight-seeing planes collided over the sea off Alaska.
