The singer shared a video on her Instagram Stories on Monday and eagle-eyed fans noticed a bold orange Bag For Life from British supermarket Sainsbury's in view. 

Rihanna, 31, has a designer wardrobe worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, but the orange bag, which retails for a mere 50p in the UK (0.65 cents) and can be replaced at the till when worn out.

Fans noticed her budget friendly bag in the background of a sweet video on Monday, as she was videoed alongside her young niece Majesty, who was taking pictures of the singer.

The short video - broadcast to her 70.6 million followers on Instagram - captures the luminous star pouting and posing in a stunning polka dot dress.

Taking pride of place upon a worktop was the bag, which proves Rihanna is happy to keep things low-key. 

She loves the British high street: On May 3, she shared a snap of one of her Fenty beauty products which she held in front of a Boots superstore sign.

She is joining forces with luxury group LVMH to launch 'Fenty', her own brand of clothes, shoes and accessories, which is set to drop any day now.  

Rihanna announced the news on Instagram and wrote: 'Big day for the culture. thank you Mr.Arnault for believing in this little girl from the left side of an island, and for giving me the opportunity to grow with you at.

'This is proof that nothing is impossible. Glory be to God.'
