And Julianne Moore turned heads in an elegant emerald ensemble at the opening night of the 72nd Annual Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday.

The 58-year-old actress looked effortlessly chic in a verdant gown by Dior that showcased her décolletage and hugged her hourglass figure.

The organza off-the-shoulder sleeves cascaded down and billowed at her sides as she sauntered her way down the carpet.

Her outfit was elevated with emerald and diamond earrings, as well as a necklace and ring, all from Chopard.

Julianne's trademark luscious auburn tresses were styled in simple straight layers that cascaded down her shoulders.

Julianne Moore looked sensational in a green Dior gown as she was spotted posing by fellow actresses Chloe Sevigny and Elle Fanning.

The red hot actress worked her lithe figure in this off-the-shoulder hunter green maxi dress that had chiffon sleeves billowing down to the ground.

For make-up, she boasted a fresh and minimal look with a light hint of pink blush on her cheeks, glossy lips and lashings of mascara.  

The Still Alice star had all eyes on her as she walked down the red carpet showing off her show stopping look.

Stopping on the way, she spoke with Caroline Scheufele, President of Chopard who dazzled in a black gown with a plunging neckline complete with diamonds.

The two were was all smiles and appeared to share a laugh ahead of the premiere screening of The Dead Don't Die, starring Bill Murray, Adam Driver and Selena Gomez.  

Aside from attending film premiere's, Julianne will also take part in the a masterclass called Life Through a Different Lens with chef-turned-filmmaker Vikas Khanna. 

Meanwhile, the actress recently filmed a biopic about the life of feminist writer Gloria Steinman The Glorias: A Life on the Road with Alicia Vikander, Janelle Monáe and Bette Midler.
