Selena Gomez is on a road-trip from hell as she returns to the big screen in new trailer for zombie thriller The Dead Don't Die

She's making her return to the big screen in the zombie thriller, The Dead Don't Die. 

And despite not being a top-billing character, Selena Gomez sure made her mark. 

In a new trailer for the film, the 26-year-old is seen playing a young woman who unfortunately happens to be road-tripping through the zombie town.

Set in the quiet and uneventful town of Centerville, zombies suddenly rise from their graves and horrify the locals.  

Actor Bill Murray takes top billing as the Chief Officer, Cliff Robertson. 

The movie will also see co-stars Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloe Sevigny, Iggy Pop, Austin Butler and Luka Sabbat join the cast. 

Tilda plays a Scottish mortician with a fondness for drag makeup.

Selena stole the spotlight in her gorgeous while two-piece ensemble while walking the carpet at the Palais des Festivals. 

Her top featured a plunging bustier with a matching form-fitting skirt that had a daring slit up one side.

The Come & Get It singer's outfit had a large buckle around her waist and accessorized with a diamond necklace. 

Selena's brunette tresses were styled back off of her face and her glam complete with a cat-eye and red lip. 

She was joined on the carpet by co-star Tilda Swinton as well as Julianne Moore and Elle Fanning.

The Dead Don't Die is in the running for numerous awards at the ten-day event, including the coveted Palme D'Or award - the highest accolade presented at the festival. 

Selena's last big screen appearance was as a struggling mom in James Franco's In Dubious Battle.
