The show-stopping ensemble was elevated with a pair of elegant chandelier earrings from Chopard.

Her auburn hair was styled in subtle loose waves and for makeup she opted for a sultry look with smokey eyes and lashings of mascara.

This comes after Julianne said she believes in implementing quotas to reach gender parity in Hollywood at a Mastercard MasterClass event on Wednesday.

Layer up like Julianne in Louis Vuitton

Julianne Moore went back to black for the premiere of Les Miserable at Cannes Film Festival.

The actress looked effortlessly chic in a floor-length dress and jacket by Louis Vuitton, completed with heels and statement jewels.

We absolutely love the cool vibes this jacket adds to an evening dress! Hailing from the resort 2020 collection, it features leather and embellished panels that transformed Julianne’s classic look into something cool and contemporary.

Sadly this piece isn’t available to buy, but you can shop the current collection by clicking (right).

Alternatively, layer up in one of the little jackets lined up below. We’ve got our eye on French Connection’s embellished number!

'We will not have gender parity unless everybody is cooperating. Women are not a special interest group. We're 52 percent of the global population,' she said.

She continued: 'We will have to make major changes to reach parity. That's just a fact. So, I do believe in quotas. I really do.

'I believe in trying to level the playing field for everybody regardless of their gender or their culture or ethnicity. You have to open doors.'
