Jennifer Lawrence hunts for new love nest in Manhattan ... days after hosting her engagement party with fiance Cooke Maroney

Jennifer Lawrence might be looking for a new place to put down roots.

The 28-year-old was spotted heading out to do some apartment hunting in Manhattan on Wednesday.

Just a few days before, the Hunger Games star was joined by her nearest and dearest as she and her fiance Cooke Maroney, 33, hosted their engagement party.

Jennifer was joined by some friends as she checked out a few properties in the SoHo neighborhood.

She was dressed down in an Alo baseball cap with her blonde locks pulled back into a messy chignon and a pair of large Garrett Leight sunglasses. Her outfit was casual and fitting for a day of running around New York City.

Jennifer donned a simple black T-shirt, relaxed fit jeans that were cuffed at the ankle, and a pair of white Christian Dior trainers. On one arm she slung a pink suede purse.

A potential new property would be just one more thing on the Oscar winner's full plate.

Jennifer is set for a big return to acting after taking an extended break to work with Represent.Us, a non-profit organization that is trying to get young people engaged politically.

Last month it was announced that Jennifer is slated to star as a war veteran in an upcoming movie project, marking the first film Lawrence has committed to since announcing her hiatus more than a year ago.

Additionally, the Kentucky native is in the midst of wedding planning.
