The Brexit talks are OFF: Corbyn pulls plug and blames the 'instability' of May's government - but she points the finger at Labour divisions over second referendum in ugly war of words
Jeremy Corbyn has sent a letter to the Prime Minister (inset) where he said they have 'gone as far as they can' due to 'the increasing weakness and instability' of her premiership. Mr Corbyn (pictured outside his London home today) said with a Tory leadership battle now weeks away he has no 'confidence' in the 'Government's ability to deliver any compromise agreement' and said later: 'She is not going to be Prime Minister for much longer anyway'. Blaming Labour for the failure to get a deal Theresa May (pictured in Bristol today) said: 'We have not been able to overcome the fact that there is not a common position in Labour about whether they want to deliver Brexit'. Reacting to the talks breakdown, Brexiteer Tory MP Simon Clarke said: 'Thank God. They ought never to have happened.'
'Obliterated in 15 seconds': Jihadi John was killed by US drone strike in Raqqa after his 'walk' and the angle of his BEARD gave him away, new documentary reveals
Jihadi John's beard and the way he walked was the key to the missile strike that killed him, a new documentary has revealed. The merciless executioner was identified by a drone flying at night over the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa in Syria, which beamed back infrared pictures to military chiefs in the US. Within 15 seconds a missile was launched which obliterated the fanatical Londoner as he spoke on the phone. A Channel 4 documentary being broadcast on Monday reveals for the first time details of how Jihadi John, whose real name was Mohammed Emwazi, was hunted down and killed with the help of state-of-the-art tracking and identification technology. Drones had been searching for the ISIS terrorist for a year but any attempt to wipe him out was made difficult because he always surrounded himself with women and children and made sure he was in crowded areas.

'88 days a slave': British backpacker, 25, moans that she had to get up early and do 'hard graft and long' four-hour days while fruit-picking in Australia - and complains the bathrooms were too dirty
A British backpacker has moaned that she was subjected to slave labour because she had to work for at least four hours a day on an Australian farm while trying to secure a two-year visa. Stephanie Banasko (pictured, left) from Merseyside said she spent '88 days a slave' fruit-picking in Queensland. The 25-year-old had hoped to escape life in the UK – which she described as ‘a bit s***’ – but was left ‘mentally drained’ by ‘hard graft’ on her latest jaunt (pictured, bottom inset, the backpacker in Fort Punta Christo, Croatia). She lasted just one month at Farmgate Backpackers (pictured, right) before fleeing to another job – only for bosses there to sack her (inset top, a mango Ms Banasko picked and posted on social media).
Mayday, mayday! Tories slip to single-digit support behind even the Green Party as 'ousted' Theresa hits the EU election campaign trail - after Boris' impromptu leadership campaign launch
Theresa May's Conservatives are expected to get nine per cent of the votes and are now 26 points behind the Brexit Party, a YouGov poll says. Yesterday Tory MPs forced Mrs May to confirm she will announce her resignation with a bloodbath predicted next Thursday because of her failure to deliver Brexit. Today's latest opinion poll also delivers bad news for Labour, with Jeremy Corbyn's party getting 15 per cent and being overtaken by the Liberal Democrats, who are polling at 16 per cent. The Greens are on 10 per cent followed by Change UK on five per cent and UKIP on three per cent. Mrs May is out campaigning for the European elections in England today with her party tanking and is now weeks from exiting office with up to 20 Tory MPs vying for her job.

But this week he was sacked for allegedly driving the aircraft carrier's official Ford Galaxy car (similar to inset) on weekends. Arron Banks 'spent £450,000 on Nigel Farage in year after Brexit vote - providing him with £4.4m Chelsea home, £32,000 Land Rover Discovery, close protection driver, furniture and even utility bills'
Channel 4 News has seen invoices, emails and other documents which show the extent of Nigel Farage's financial reliance on millionaire businessman Arron Banks (left) since 2016. Mr Farage (right and inset) quit as UKIP leader after the referendum and now fronts the Brexit Party and represents South East England in the European Parliament on a salary of €100,000 a year plus expenses. For the year after the Brexit vote Mr Banks, through his companies, also organised and funded multiple visits to the United States for Mr Farage.
Is this ‘lord‘ to blame for the biggest savings scandal for 30 years? With his partners, he promised big returns - then poured vast sums into their own luxury firms. The problem? It was a house of cards that’s left thousands penniless
Simon Hume-Kendall and his wife Helen, left, enjoyed an opulent lifestyle involving expensive yachts, mansions and horses, but now he is facing a major investigation. It soon emerged that Hume-Kendall, 65, is a major kingpin behind the biggest savings scandal to hit this country since the infamous Barlow Clowes affair. Thousands of victims lost their nest-eggs when that investment company collapsed in 1988. Particularly worryingly, the actions of Hume-Kendall and his associates raise difficult questions for the watchdogs: why the Financial Conduct Authority, which regulates the country’s 58,000 financial services firms and financial markets, failed to thwart the scandal.
The joy of our 10 year 'cancerversary'! These four women were diagnosed with stage four cancer a decade ago but are living healthily today - and medical advances mean there will be far more like them
Kris Hallenga, 33, pictured left celebrating her ten year 'cancer-versary', first found a lump in her left breast while on holiday with her mother and twin sister, (Kris and her twin are pictured inset) but a doctor told her it must be ‘hormonal’. She then moved abroad for work. When she returned six months later, it was supposed to be a temporary visit. But suffering pain in her breast, she saw the doctor again and her mother insisted she was referred to a breast clinic. By then, her tumour was the size of an avocado; scans revealed it had spread to her spine. Many people confronted with a health crisis make a ‘bucket list’ of adventures. Instead, Kris decided if she wanted to do something, she would ‘just go and do it’. Siobhan Lett, top right, was diagnosed with a rare form of the disease nearly 11 years ago and is working more, while Sarah Sweet, 50, bottom right, finds pleasure in the little things in her life.

Big Brother Britain: Extraordinary moment police FINE pedestrian £90 for disorderly behaviour after he tries to cover his face from facial recognition camera on the streets of London
Police have fined a pedestrian £90 for disorderly behaviour after he tried to cover his face when he saw a controversial facial recognition camera on a street in London. Officers set up the camera on a van in Romford, East London, which then cross-checked photos of faces of passers-by against a database of wanted criminals. But one man was unimpressed about being filmed and covered his face with his hat and jacket, before being stopped by officers who took his picture anyway. The man was then fined £90 at the scene by officers, who also arrested three other people during the day thanks to the technology. Civil liberties group Big Brother Watch has previously said the technology is a 'breach of fundamental rights to privacy and freedom of assembly'. But the police insist the move is necessary to crack down on spiralling violence crime.
Hapless waiter serves £4,500 bottle of wine by mistake to lucky diner who then drank it thinking it was the £260 one he had ordered
A hapless waiter accidentally treated a lucky diner to a £4,500 bottle of red wine at a high-end restaurant, leading the unsuspecting customer to ask for more of what he thought was a £260 beverage. But he couldn't have a second Chateau le Pin Pomerol at Hawksmoor in Manchester (right) - because, unsurprisingly, it was the only one in the place. He'd actually ordered Chateau Pichon Longueville Contesse de Lalande (both wines pictured, left). Hawksmoor co-founder Will Beckett said that the first he heard of the blunder was when his restaurant's social media team shared the news online (inset top). 'If she had done it twice I would’ve been furious, but she’s so great and I’m not annoyed. He enjoyed it so much he wanted another one.'

But Ms Desmond was fuming when he she spotted him at Tesco Express in Armthorpe, Doncaster wearing a high-viz jacket and getting into his work van (inset). She filmed the confrontation on March 30 and said she would 'see him in court' after seemingly catching him coming home from work.

Philip Stapleton, from Crawley, West Sussex, spotted the Seated Bather painting on the ground and was drawn in by the Art Deco 1930s frame, assuming the piece was a convincing fake. Heb paid £230 for it, but later felt ripped off and took it to Brighton and Hove Auctions to get rid of it. Within a week, auctioneer Rosie May said there were four tell-tale signs that indicate the piece could be a genuine Picasso worth £750,000. Pictured left: The painting. 'Angel of death' German nurse who killed 97 hospital patients should face life in jail, say prosecutors
German prosecutors want Niels Hoegel, 42, pictured left and right at his trial today, to get life in prison for the killings as he is already behind bars after earlier trials. Hoegel, dubbed the 'angel of death', confessed to giving scores more intensive-care patients drug overdoses because he enjoyed the thrill of trying to reanimate them at the last moment. He stands accused of a revised toll of 97 murders, down from 100 as three cases could not be proved, a prosecutor told the Lower Saxony state court in Oldenburg. Some investigators, however, believe Hoegel may have killed hundreds more by injecting them with deadly drugs while he worked between 2000 and 2005 at clinics in Oldenburg and nearby Delmenhorst. But because the deceased were buried or cremated long ago, autopsies have not been possible in all cases, and in some the post mortem examinations were inconclusive.
