Former wild child Ed Sheeran shuns boozy post-BRITs bashes for a low-key Indian meal with Cherry Seaborn three years after THAT raucous afterparty
He vowed to temporarily give up alcohol last year after breaking his wrist, and has previously spoken about battling substance abuse.
After attending the star-studded ceremony and wowing with his performance, the 27-year-old singer decided to leave the other stars to it as he headed to Gymkhana Indian restaurant in Mayfair.
Taking it easy: Ed Sheeran seemed to be a changed man as he shunned the BRIT Awards 2018 afterparties on Wednesday in favour of a romantic dinner date with fiancée Cherry Seaborn
Changing out of the smart blue suit he had worn to the awards, Ed donned a rust coloured suede jacket with jeans and trainers.
Meanwhile, Cherry looked incredible in a glittering silver halter neck dress that sheathed her phenomenal figure, whilst she boosted her frame with black barely-there heels.
Having enjoyed a more low-key celebration, it was in stark contrast to Ed's behaviour in 2015, when he celebrated winning two BRIT awards by partying until 6am, and was famously pictured stumbling out of a nightclub.

Ed vowed to give up alcohol in October last year in a bid to speed up the healing process of his fractured wrist and elbow.
The gifted musician - who sustained the injuries after being struck by a car as he rode his bike in central London - vowed to be back up on the stage in just four weeks, despite being currently unable to play the guitar with his injuries.
Speaking to the Daily Star he admitted: 'Apparently if I drink it slows the healing down so I’m not drinking... I’ll be back in a month or so though'.

Later that month, Ed revealed a secret battle with substance abuse, which caused him to take a year-long hiatus from the music industry.
He admitted his sudden rise to international fame affected him in a negative way to the extent that he 'started slipping into' dangerous habits.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, the Shape Of You hitmaker credited Cherry Seaborn with pulling him back from the brink.

Discussing his meteoric rise to sudden fame, the British musician explained: 'I didn’t really have any growing up time into getting famous.
'I think you need to, when you get into the industry, adjust to it - and I didn’t adjust because I was constantly working on tour.
'And all the pitfalls that people read about, I just found myself slipping into all of them. Mostly, like, substance abuse.'

He continued: 'I never touched anything. I started slipping into it, and that’s why I took a year off and b*****ed off.'
Whilst he did not specifically state which substance he was using, but has been open about his heavy drinking in the past.
Meanwhile, Cherry was spotted by Ed's side at his table at the BRITs, supporting him as he went up for four awards.
Star-studded affair: Ed was among the stars who performed at the BRIT Awards at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday night, and flashed his new shiny band on his left hand
Cherry was at Ed's table and caught on camera giggling while taking a sip of her drink.
Ed flew solo on the red carpet earlier that night, cutting a dapper figure in a navy suit, which he teamed with a crisp white shirt and smart black tie - without his love by his side.
has he wed? The singer was spotted sporting a silver wedding band, amid speculation he's secretly wed his fiancée Cherry Seaborn
Sporting a white rose on the lapel of his blazer, he was standing in solidarity with the Me Too movement.
The bespectacled Shape Of You hitmaker appeared to be in jovial spirits as he emerged from a chauffeur-driven Aldi ahead of the night's festivities.
Just two nights before, he took to the stage at Indigo at the O2 as part of 2018s War Child BRITs Week to perform - and was seen sporting the wedding band.
Walking the red carpet, Ed squashed rumours of a secret wedding, however, explaining that his band was his own engagement ring.
He revealed that the band had been designed and made out of silver clay by Cherry, as he reasoned that as men are also making the same commitment, they too should wear engagement rings.

Ed and Cherry are notoriously private about their relationship, but they did reveal they got engaged at the end of last year, sharing the news on Instagram in January.
The superstar singer has not yet made any sort of comment about the ring just as yet. MailOnline has contacted a representative for further information.
However, his good friend Ellen DeGeneres did tweet on February 17: 'Happy birthday @EdSheeran! I'm so excited for your wedding. No need to ask... yes! I'll sing.

Ed recently spoke about his relationship with the 25-year-old consultant to pal Taylor Swift in a behind-the-scenes video of the making of their song, End Game.
And in particular the inspiration behind his rap verse in the smash hit.
The Grammy winner revealed in the short video how Taylor, 28, had a helping hand in kick starting his relationship with Cherry.
Talking about their collaborative track, Taylor asked Ed about the thought process behind his lyrics for End Game.
She began: 'I wanna talk about the Fourth of July line because that makes me really happy.'
To which he answered: 'Well, you see, it’s kind of a play on words — well, not really a play on words. There’s a film with Tom Cruise called Born on the Fourth of July. My relationship started on the Fourth of July.'
Taylor playfully teased: 'At whose house?'
He replied: 'At Taylor’s house. So the story was, I was at Taylor’s party, and then a girl I went to school with who’s pretty cool ended up being in Rhode Island… I was like, "Taylor, can she turn up?" And here we are.'
Before, Taylor gushed over Cherry: 'Ugh, she is the coolest.'
A year following Taylor's annual Fourth of July bash, she helped commemorate the pair's anniversary with a rib-tickling pun-filled sign.
Taylor asked: 'Remember the sign that I made for your first anniversary?', which Ed quipped: 'Happy Anniversa-Cherry?'
She corrected her pal: 'Happy Ed-iver-Cherry! I’m still excited about it. It took me so long to think of both of your names…'.
In January, Ed announced he got down on bended knee to girlfriend Cherry on social media with a sweet Instagram post of the pair kissing, as he revealed that he proposed last year but chose to keep the news private until now.
Ed informed his 18.9 million followers at the time: 'Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx'.
The singer met Cherry when they were both students at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk, when Ed had a crush on the pretty brunette.
Married? He sparked speculation he has secretly married long-term girlfriend Cherry after he was pictured wearing a wedding ring at a London gig on Monday night
His love: The couple are rather private about their relationship, but they did reveal they got engaged at the end of last year, sharing the news on Instagram in January
But the pair were separated when Cherry left high school to attend Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Ed did not begin dating the consultant - a keen hockey player who competed in British University Championships - until 2015, when she was working on Wall Street, the financial district of New York.
To combat the long-distance, the pair spent most of 2016 travelling the world together as Ed took a year off from the music business.
In December that year, Cherry transferred to the London office so that she could move in with Ed and the pair have been blissfully happy since.
Speaking last year, the Perfect hitmaker revealed there was potential for their relationship to become a 'marriage thing', as he reasoned: 'I'm pretty... yeah I feel pretty good about it.'

What's that?! Ed flashed a ring on his wedding finger as far back as February 10, when some of his 20.2million Instagram followers spotted the ring
Ed went on to confess he'd 'love' to start a family with his old school pal. He said on Australian radio show The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Ed said: 'Yeah, potentially. I would like some kids.'
Of their sweet yet simple life together, he told Clash magazine: 'I always thought to have a really good career, you always had to be incredibly unhappy, and I always thought to be really happy, you had to have a bad career, because I didn't see the balance of the two.
'And I've realised that that's obviously bulls**t, and just what you tell yourself to justify it.
'I live with Cherry now. We've got cats, we have takeaways and watch movies, we have people round for dinner. I've never had that.'
The Grammy winning-artist revealed last year that he'd finally had the chance to fall in love after taking a break from music.
Giving the game away? Good friend Ellen DeGeneres did tweet on February 17: 'Happy birthday @EdSheeran! I'm so excited for your wedding. No need to ask... yes! I'll sing'
Hanging out: Ed and Ellen are close pals and were pictured together at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards at The Forum on August 27, 2017 in Inglewood, California
'This has been the first time I've ever actually had the time to fall in love properly,' he told Zane Lowe on Beats 1. 'I've always got into relationships very passionately - I'm a redhead and also Irish.'
He also explained he wanted to start a family, revealing: 'I'm ready, let's go - tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around.'
The musician recently revealed he plans to quit music by the time he turns 30 so he can settle down and start a family with Cherry.
Speaking in January, he said: 'He said: 'My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids. I am going to be like, "I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of".
'It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, 'I want to be a good father'.'
