Speaking to Today, JoJo said: 'She loved it. Kim posted [the package] on her Instagram story, and I have a motto. It says, "You got one try, go for it".

'So I went for it, and I responded to her message. I was like, "She is not going to see this,"' she added.

JoJo said her response to Kim's story included an invitation for North to be in one her YouTube videos, should she ever want to.

She also offered to surprise the five-year-old, and told Kim to let her know if she ever wanted to meet her.

Much to her surprise, JoJo said Kim replied to her message. 'She responded. She said North would love to, [that] it would be a dream come true for her,' she said.

The pair exchanged phone numbers, and Kim messaged her the following morning to make arrangements for JoJo and North to collaborate in a video.

The pair created a video for JoJo's YouTube channel, which boasts a whopping nine million subscribers, that saw the 15-year-old 'babysitting' North for one day.

Since it was uploaded in March, the six-minute clip has been viewed more than 15 million times.

Recalling the experience, JoJo said: 'Kim is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She's so nice.

'She was a very good mom. I wasn't sure what to expect because you know her as Kim Kardashian and you know them as the Kardashians.

'You just don't know what to expect from people,' she added.

JoJo said she and Kim have remained in contact since they made the video.

'We've talked a lot,' JoJo said. 'She's given me some very good words of advice.

'There was something posted on Instagram on a big North fan page that was just so false and so untrue, and a lot of people think that Kim and North run that page,' she said.

After seeing the post, JoJo sent it to Kim to let her know what had been shared.

After the friendly exchange, Kim offered to give JoJo advice with 'bullying' or 'hate' to let her know, and that she would be happy to help.

JoJo said: 'She was like, you know, "if you ever need advice with bullying, with hate, I've been there, I've done that, let me know."

She said Kim encouraged her to always 'be you' and 'be awesome', which she appreciated.

The former Dance Moms star admitted that the pressure of the industry can be difficult to handle at times.

However, she said she tends to ignore the likes of negative comments and hate. 'It can be hard, but I just kind of brush it off,' she said.

JoJo opened up about bullying and negative experiences back in March when she accepted the Kids Choice Award for Favorite Social Media Star.

Speaking to the crowd of children and teens, she discussed how she gets 'hated on' for looking different.

'What I want to say, what I want to tell you all, one little thing,' she began, as she accepted her trophy from show co-host DJ Khaled, 43.

'I get hated on every single day for looking different,' she said. 'Looking not what a normal 15-year-old should look like. That is not the case. We are all human. We are all different.

'We are all allowed to look like we want to look. We're allowed to do what we want to do, because you are the number one you,' she added.

JoJo has been in the spotlight since for the past seven years, having appeared on the second season of Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition in 2012.

She later transitioned to Dance Moms between 2014 and 2015, and is now a household name among young girls.
