Manchester City's kit man thoroughly enjoyed his side winning the domestic treble on Saturday.  Brandon Ashton ran into the Wembley changing room in his flimsy underpants and jumped on Ilkay Gundogan's back waving a sock around. Ashton then jumped into the dirty laundry basket and was flipped over by captain Vincent Kompany.

Paul Pogba 'must hand in transfer request' to join Real Madrid

Paul Pogba must hand in a transfer request if he is to force a move to Real Madrid this summer, according to reports. Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is determined to block any approach for the midfielder, however. This is despite manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, being happy to let him go as he fears his own position will be on the line if he cannot rely on an unhappy player.

OLIVER HOLT – MAIL ON SUNDAY CHIEF SPORTS WRITER: Even if Rory McIlroy never wins another tournament, he will still go down in history as one of the best golfers Europe ever produced.

DEREK LAWRENSON AT BETHPAGE: They say there’s no such thing as the complete golfer but over three rounds of total domination, Brooks Koepka is giving a pretty good impression.

It is said that Griezmann upset many of his prospective team-mates last summer when he revealed his decision to snub a move to Barcelona in a documentary called 'The Decision'.

EXCLUSIVE: There is a possibility the forward, currently injured with a ruptured Achilles, will consider signing a deal if the club show they are planning to build the team around him in the future.

He's only been in Italy for a single season, but Cristiano Ronaldo has already left his mark, winning the Serie A Player of the Year award.

Paris Saint Germain will make N'Golo Kante their top priority this summer, as they bid to build a side capable of dominating in European football.

Greatness never sleeps: Incredible moment Guardiola COACHES Sterling just minutes after winger netted brace in Manchester City's FA Cup thrashing of Watford as pundits heap praise on relentless manager

Jose Mourinho once said 'when you enjoy what you do, you don't lose your hair' in reference to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.  You can see why the former Barcelona boss is known for his attention to detail as he was seen coaching Raheem Sterling just minutes after City's 6-0 FA Cup final victory.  Guardiola was lecturing Sterling, who scored twice and nearly scored a hat-trick against Watford on Saturday, while the City star had his medal in his hands during the celebrations on the pitch.

DANNY MURPHY: City’s strength is incredible but it’s still a head-scratcher why de Bruyne would start a big game on the bench. I said he was the best passer I've seen and I stand by that.

'Do you think I deserve to have this type of question?!': Furious Guardiola hits back at suggestions Manchester City's Treble has been tarnished by FFP investigation

Pep Guardiola reacted angrily to suggestions Manchester City's historic Treble has been tarnished by UEFA's Financial Fair Play investigation. City became the first English club to complete a domestic clean sweep after demolishing Watford at Wembley, clinching their sixth FA Cup trophy and first since 2011. The six-goal hammering was the largest in 116 years and there was confusion as to whether Raheem Sterling became the first man since Blackpool's Stan Mortensen in 1953 to score a hat-trick in a cup final.

'You'll all have Salah on the back of the f***ing pages tomorrow!': City fan storms into Wembley press box and directs foul-mouthed rant at journalists claiming bias towards Liverpool

WARNING - EXPLICIT LANGUAGE: A Manchester City fan entered the press box at Wembley at the end of the FA Cup final and launched a foul-mouthed rant towards journalists.  The City supporter said: 'We've done the domestic f***ing Treble. No-one's ever done it before. 'But you'll all have Mo Salah on the back of the f***ing pages tomorrow... City! City! City!'

Replays were not immediately conclusive as to whether or not the ball had already crossed the goal-line prior to Sterling's intervention in the 38th minute of Saturday's FA Cup final.

ROB DRAPER AT WEMBLEY: Fast forward 12 years and Sterling was back in his backyard. It's a pretty frequent occurrence nowadays except that he's never been here for an FA Cup final.

Kevin de Bruyne thought his season was over after suffering yet another injury setback last month, but the Belgium star ended it by celebrating the Treble and the man of the match award at Wembley.

Manchester City 6-0 Watford: FA Cup romp seals domestic treble

MANCHESTER CITY 6-0 WATFORD - OLIVER HOLT AT WEMBLEY: There was a time, long ago, before the oil money and Pep Guardiola and a brand of bewitching, pulverising football we have never seen before in this country, when Manchester City might have been considered the sentimental choice in an FA Cup final. Now they are so good that they are the enemies of romance and friends only to relentless and unprecedented achievements. At a bee-stung Wembley, Watford’s fans filled the stadium with the kind of colour and wide-eyed enthusiasm that recalled an era when this was the biggest event in the English football calendar but City had a different kind of history in mind and they pursued it with the unforgiving rigour and beautiful, scintillating football that has been the hallmark of another breathtaking campaign.

CHRIS WHEELER AT WEMBLEY: Eight years have passed since David Silva ended his first season at Manchester City by lifting the FA Cup. He is no longer the heartbeat of this team.

NATHAN SALT AT WEMBLEY: Man City secured an unprecedented domestic treble with a 6-0 victory over Watford in the FA Cup final. Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus scored twice.

Manchester City have claimed the joint biggest win ever in FA Cup final history with a 6-0 drubbing of Watford. Sterling netted a hat-trick as City completed an historic domestic treble

Southgate jokes about 'bloody Germans' but is serious on England fears

Gareth Southgate has warned English football not to be fooled by success in the Champions League or the progress of the national team, as statistics show that the number of English players in the Premier League is at an all-time low. Ahead of next month's UEFA Nations League Finals in Portugal — where England can win their first trophy since 1966 — Southgate joked that the 'bloody Germans' would soon be catching up with his team again if the FA and Premier League can't find a way to reverse the trend. This season recorded the lowest-ever figure of English-qualified players starting in the Premier League — just 30 per cent.

Manchester City are favourites to land Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri but the La Liga side want Gabriel Jesus in return. Antoine Griezmann is likely to join Barcelona for around £110million.

The 21-year-old has interest from Crystal Palace, Southampton and Red Bull Leipzig as he evaluates his next move having failed to cement a first team place under Marco SIlva.

Crystal Palace have placed a remarkable £60million price tag on young defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in an attempt to deter Manchester United from trying to sign him this summer.

As City bask in the glory of a domestic treble and are judged one of the greatest teams of the Premier League era, it is tempting to question whether this will be the peak of Mansour's ownership.

Billy Joe Saunders easily wins the vacant WBO super middleweight title

JEFF POWELL AT THE LAMEX STADIUM: Billy Joe Saunders put on a first half masterclass in a Hertfordshire football ground to set himself up as a two weight world champion. Then he danced out his WBO world super-middleweight title victory over Shefst Isufi in the manner of a table-topping team team protecting its lead. Part one was a brilliant exhibition of ring-craft, quite beautiful to behold.

The general wisdom is that 50-over cricket is now a batsman's game, yet without Rashid's leg-breaks and googlies, England would not be entering the World Cup as favourites.

Gareth Southgate's England side face the Dutch on June 6 for a place in the Nations League final, with the winners taking on either Portugal or Switzerland.

DEREK LAWRENSON AT BETHPAGE: For Tiger Woods, the new reality was reflected in the resigned look on his face and the words he spoke after missing the cut at the 101st PGA Championship.

DEREK LAWRENSON: You’d have been laughed at if you had suggested back in 2014, when he collected his fourth major, that Rory McIlroy would end his career as anything but the best player of his generation.

Wimbledon in £1bn race to be top dog as they unveil revamped Court One

MIKE DICKSON: It is a facilities arms race between tennis's Grand Slams whose overall cost has run into billions, and Sunday's unveiling of Wimbledon's new Court One represents a further escalation. It has taken nearly three years and features 11 giant trusses weighing 100 tonnes each, but the All England Club can now boast a second arena able to withstand the capriciousness of the British summer. John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova and Venus Williams will be among those taking to the pristine lawn for Sunday's test event, 10 years after Centre Court became similarly insured against the rain.

Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery both score in final game for Bayern

Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery said goodbye to Bayern Munich in the best way possible by both scoring in an emphatic 5-1 win over Frankfurt. The duo, who have both been at the club for more than a decade, started the match from the bench but typically came on in the second half to great effect. Ribery rolled back the years with a truly stunning individual goal, slipping past two defenders with quick feet before chipping Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.

Tom Hateley, son of former AC Milan and England striker Mark, is expected to add to the family trophy cabinet on Sunday by leading his Polish club Piast Gliwice to their first league title.

Josh Taylor became the new IBF world super-lightweight champion with a thrilling points win over Ivan Baranchyk in Glasgow. But the fight turned in the sixth round when the 26-year-old Belarussian, nicknamed 'The Beast', was dropped twice, providing the platform for a unanimous points win for Taylor - 117-109, 115-111 and 115-111.

Newcastle Falcons owner Semore Kurdi calls for bigger top flight

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW BY NIK SIMON: 'Horses are like rugby players,' says Newcastle owner Semore Kurdi, while patrolling his stables set within 350 acres of Northumberland countryside. 'They can beat the whole field one week and come last seven days later… that's sport.' Such has been the case at Newcastle Falcons this year. Kurdi's club crashed from the top four in 2018 to the trapdoor in 2019.  Their relegation was confirmed before Saturday's 12-19 home defeat by Bristol and their absence will leave a gaping hole in the north-east section of the Premiership map.

Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben scored in their last Bundesliga appearances for Bayern Munich to clinch a record-extending seventh straight league title after routing Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 on Saturday. Ribery was honored for 10 years of service before the game, and Robben for 12, and both wingers repaid the tributes after coming on as second-half substitutes. Ribery eluded two Frankfurt defenders before chipping Kevin Trapp to sign off in style in the 72nd minute. Seven minutes later, David Alaba gave Robben a tap-in.

Before the big showdown - worth £170m to the victor -  the pair found time to relax over a drink, with Morris filming Terry and jokingly claiming 'We've got another spy in the camp.'

Ben Stokes happy to help England with the bat ahead of World Cup

Ben Stokes has hinted at a deliberate change in tack to his one-day batting on the eve of the World Cup. The rambunctious innings that first got him selected at international level eight years ago appear to be a thing of the past, and, after anchoring England's Friday evening chase of 341 in Nottingham that sealed the series versus Pakistan with Sunday's fifth and final match at Headingley in hand, he likened his approach to that which he takes in Test cricket.

WILL KELLEHER AT SANDY PARK: Saints will have to try again next week. By dint of Harlequins losing to Wasps, their defeat brings them back to Sandy Park for the play-off semi-final.

Juventus dilemma: Won two trophies and Cristiano Ronaldo starred but there are concerns

SHERIDAN BIRD IN ITALY: The clinking of champagne flutes is still audible at Juventus' Allianz Stadium. It's the good stuff, provided by Cantine Ferrari, the club's official sparkling wine partner.  A fine beverage and a lucrative union, which epitomises how Juventus are on a par with Bayern Munich or Manchester United when it comes to money-spinning collaborations.  But as 2018-19 closes, the question is: are those glasses are half-full, or half-empty? Have the Italian champions lived up to their potential?
