'This is like Fyre Festival all over again': Bachelor star is left horrified when Grill'd delivers a sloppy mushroom burger with just TWO leaves of basil

A former Bachelor star has revealed her nightmare experience ordering a vegetarian burger from Grill'd via the food delivery app Uber Eats.

Rhiannon Doherty shared a rather confronting photo to Instagram of the 'Mushroom Parma' sandwich she had delivered on Thursday night.

According to Rhiannon, her sloppy-looking burger was just as disappointing as the infamous cheese sandwich provided to guests at Fyre Festival in 2017.

'Tonight I was so excited to try Grill'd's mushroom burger as they took it off the menu for so long. This is what it looked like on Uber Eats,' she wrote, alongside a professional photo of the burger.

She then shared a picture of the burger that was actually delivered, which looked very unappetising and was garnished with just two basil leaves.

'This what I got. Lol. Spinach [basil] must be expensive these days,' she wrote, before adding: 'This is like Fyre Festival all over again.'

A Grill'd spokesperson said on Friday that the company had tried to resolve Rhiannon's complaint after being alerted to her social media posts.

'As with all feedback, it's a great opportunity for us to improve the training of our teams, particularly as it relates to a new product,' they said.

'We've had some great feedback following the launch of our new Mushroom Parma, however the minimal basil Rhiannon received on her burger was not per our recipe.'

The Grill'd spokesperson added that they are waiting for Rhiannon to get back to them regarding her complaint.

'We're looking forward to having Rhiannon back in to redeem our Mushroom Parma,' they concluded.

Meanwhile, an Uber Eats representative said the company takes customer complaints seriously.

'We work hard to connect hungry eaters with restaurants and delivery partners, to provide them with quality meals and a positive experience each time they place an order through the app,' they said.

'Customers with any concerns or issues are encouraged to contact our support team from within the Uber Eats app.'
