Jersey Shore's Ronnie Ortiz-Magro reveals he got liposuction to keep his six-pack abs

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his male castmates on Jersey Shore paraded their sculpted bodies all the way to reality show stardom back when the MTV show premiered in December 2009.

Now, in the wake of newfound fatherhood and father time, the 33-year-old has come clean and revealed he went under the knife and got liposuction to maintain his six-pack abs.

'One year ago today my life completely changed. I had a little baby girl,' Ronnie confessed on an upcoming episode of The Doctors. 'She's like my guardian angel, and now I can't spend two to three hours every day in the gym like I used to.'

The reality star added, 'I've always been a workout fanatic, and I've also always been in shape, but it takes a lot of hard work to stay in shape.'

With his time limited since the arrival of daughter Ariana in April 2018, Ortiz-Magro opted for laser high-definition liposuction of the abdomen.

'Today I'm going to step out of my element and try something new with my body,' he said in the clip obtained by People.

His plastic surgeon, Dr. Christopher Khorsand, claimed the procedure is relatively new, something that 'wasn't even available 10 years ago.'

'We're going to be able to get that area in between each of his abs completely defined, so that he actually has a six-pack for many, many years to come,' Dr. Khorsandi declared.

The procedure, which takes about four-and-a-half hours, is permanent, just as long as the patient sticks to a healthy diet.

Instead of going to the abdomen, any weight gain will be redistributed to other areas of the body.

The surgery costs between $20,000 and $30,000, and required a difficult recovery, which is exactly what the reality star experienced to get his new defined abs.

'I'm feeling like complete cr**, he told Dr. Travis Stork over the phone just days after his surgery. 'It has not been a good experience.'

It's still unclear exactly when Ortiz-Magro had the surgery.

He shares his daughter with former partner, Jen Harley. The couple called it quits in April 2018, around the time they welcomed their daughter to the world.
