Ibishu Covet Sedan

Hi everyone,
Lately I've been working on reviving the Covet Sedan mod which I thought was really cool,
it was very frustrating as the mod was horribly outdated, and when I installed it (don't recommend)
It was broken and also broke the regular Covet.
After working on it for a long time I almost gave up because there were so many issues

But I finally got it working(ish), I fixed the rearpanel and added a custom fascia, fixed the wheels, fixed the rear suspension, fixed the fuel tank from blowing up, fixed exhaust from not working, added its own configs, etc.


some stuffs still need to be fixed like the towhitch

I don't know if I should release it though, if enough people care then maybe a beta?
like if you want it I need to make sure enough people want it

Oh, please release it! If not, maybe a private beta type of thing (wink wink, nudge nudge). It sounds like there’s quite the demand for it though.

i dont know if we should revive it...
Maybe he would want it. I think he would be happy if his legacy got restored to its former glory.

 

From a permissions perspective, that’s not easily doable, but why shouldn’t we? It’s good work he did, and it’s not worth anything if its hopelessly broken.

Most of the configs are done, I won't be adding that many new things because I want to respect Narwhal's mod.
Currently I'm trying to get skins to work which probrably won't be fun as I have no clue how to uv map

I'm jumping back in to say this, Narwhal specifically stated that he didn't want to see any of his mods revived. As much as people are wanting to pay tribute, he made it clear that he didn't want anything that wasn't finished by him to be touched, and well, there are some exceptions like the Ibishu Kashira being made, since he never finished the Guide, and even if some people managed to send out copies with or without his permission, he never wanted to see it on the forum or anywhere else.

It was pretty much one of his last wishes before he left us, and I'd rather honor it.

I have a question for you @JSZ2005, if you do consider what NismoR35 said and cancel this, are you going to consider attempting to create your own take on a Covet sedan that's different from Narwhals?

 

Wait, so is this mod still going to be released?

 

Even if you do cancel the mod, you still got a ton of practice from revamping the mod. I have a good feeling in the future, or next, you could make another Covet Sedan of your own style.
