Hollywood actor Joe Mangianello reveals his passion for fantasy tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons

During his long career as a Hollywood actor, Joe Mangianello, 46, has played everything from a male stripper to a werewolf.  

And it seems Joe Mangianello's passion for role-playing extends far beyond the silver screen, with the 46-year-old candidly discussing his love of fantasy game Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) with The Daily Telegraph's Confidential on Sunday. 

The hunk, who is married to Colombian-American actress, Sofia Vergara, revealed to the publication that he went on a Dungeons and Dragons shopping expedition while he was in Australia last year.

'I finally found one store in Melbourne with a whole glass case filled with amazing D&D minis,' he gushed. 

'They were like (fantasy and science fiction artist Frank) Frazetta (style) Barbarian women, covered in blood ... and all these werewolves,' Joe added. 

Dungeons and Dragons allows players to create their own unique characters and have them embark on adventures led by a storyteller and referee called the 'Dungeon Master.'

In addition to his successful D&D shopping spree Down Under, Joe went on to reveal other aspects of the Australian culture he has fallen in love with. 

'If there is anyone from Australia that hasn’t gotten on a plane yet, please bring me some Tim Tams and Fantales,' he said before adding: 'I just ran out.'

Joe also revealed he's a big fan of Australian Football League and said he 'always' attends a game while he's in the land Down Under.

'I love that game. It's not like American football where you have to be a 300-pound dude. (With AFL), you run, hit, jump, catch, kick. I always go to a game when I'm in town,' he told the publication. 

Joe and Sofia married in Palm Beach, Florida on November 21, 2015 after a year-long engagement. 

Recently, the actress revealed Joe is the one who takes the initiative to plan their romantic dates together.

Speaking about their Valentine's Day plans earlier this year, she told Extra: 'Joe usually plans all of the romantic things like that...Usually what we usually do is a dinner reservation or a trip somewhere close, so he takes care of that.'
