Selma Blair uses 'amazing' Alinker walking bike on outing with beau David Lyons amid multiple sclerosis battle

Selma Blair climbed aboard her Alinker walking-bike during a Los Angeles outing with her boyfriend David Lyons on Saturday.

The apparatus, which despite being called a 'bike' has three wheels, currently sells on the brand's website for $1,977 and is meant for the disabled.

Zipping an anorak vest over her stylish turtleneck, the 46-year-old actress, who has multiple sclerosis, seemed in bright spirits while enjoying a cup of coffee.

Selma slipped into a pair of knee-high black leather boots and skintight khaki trousers, accessorizing with aviator sunglasses.

Her supportive beau was seen walking his dog and carrying his girlfriend's cane in case she ended up needing it at any point.

The actress visited her horses on Saturday using the walking bike to move around the stables and hailed the contraption as 'amazing' in an Instagram post.

'I have fit more than I am used to in a couple of days. I wanted to ride. But I cannot even walk with a cane today. So I spent the day on this amazing invention. And I will sleep until tomorrow. Soon. But this was huge.' she wrote.

Selma was married to Frank Zappa's son Ahmet from 2004 to 2005, and from 2010 to 2012 she dated stylist Jason Bleick, the father of her seven-year-old son Arthur.

The Legally Blonde actress announced in October that she has multiple sclerosis, and she discussed her 'aggressive' illness on Good Morning America in February.

Speaking through spasmodic dysphonia, she told anchor Robin Roberts she 'cried' upon her diagnosis but that 'They weren't tears of panic.'

The Cruel Intentions star explained: 'They were tears of knowing I now had to give into a body that had loss of control, and there was some relief in that, 'cause ever since my son was born, I was in an MS flare-up and didn't know.'

Selma, who got sober in 2016, went on: 'And I was giving it everything to seem normal, and I was self-medicating when he wasn't with me.'

She clarified: 'I wasn't always drinking, but there were times when I couldn't take it, and I was really struggling with: "How am I gonna get by in life?"'

Selma added that she was 'not taken seriously by doctors, just: "Single mother, you're exhausted, you know, financial burden, blah, blah, blah." And I even got to the point where I said: "I need to go to work and I have to stay awake." I dropped my son off at school a mile away, and before I got home I'd have to pull over and take a nap.'

She recalled that 'I was ashamed, and I was doing the best I could, and I was a great mother, but it was killing me, and so when I got the diagnosis, I cried with some relief, like: "Oh, good, I'll be able to do something."'
