A mother plunged to her death from her daughter's favourite clifftop lookout (top right) with the two-year-old in her arms in a suspected murder-suicide.  The bodies of Tanja Ludwig, 33, and her daughter Tilly were found at the base of a cliff below picturesque tourist hot spot Robertson Lookout at Mt Keira, near Wollongong, on Tuesday night. Jenae Johnston, the founder of Bushwalk the Gong and a friend of Ms Ludwig's, said the lookout was Tilly's favourite spot. 'She shared how much her daughter loved the trees and how she ran along the pathway enjoying it so much,' Mrs Johnston said. Ms Ludwig often visited the area to participate in meditation retreats (centre) and found the surroundings both relaxing and restorative.

A woman in a stolen RV led authorities on a wild chase in Los Angeles on Tuesday, smashing into cars and a palm tree before finally coming to a halt with a large dog hanging out of the shattered windshield. The half-hour chase began around 7pm in Santa Clarita, just north of L.A., when the RV failed to yield for the California Highway Patrol. Video showed the RV careening at speeds of up to 60 mph from Santa Clarita into the San Fernando Valley. The RV hit several cars and then a palm tree in a shopping mall parking lot that tore off the passenger-side door and wrecked the front end, leaving the windshield dangling on the hood. Eventually the female driver lost control of the vehicle. The woman got out and ran with the dog following her but she was quickly tackled by authorities.

Haim was convicted last month of second-degree murder. He will live out the rest of his life in prison for the gruesome slaying of his 23-year-old wife Bonnie Haim (top right, with their son), who would have turned 50 years old on Monday. Their son, Aaron Fraser (bottom right), helped implicate him in the murder after he moved back home in 2014 where he and his brother-in-law found the remains of his mother's body. Fraser was three years old when his mother disappeared. At the time, Fraser tried to tell police that his 'daddy hurt mommy', but no one believed him and no physical evidence tied his father to the crime. Haim had maintained that he was not involved with his wife's death. During his trial he even testified: 'I love my wife, and I would’ve never hurt my wife.' Following the sentence on Tuesday, Bonnie's sister, Liz Peak, said: 'For 26 years, we wanted justice. And now we have it. We got justice. But we don't have Bonnie.'

Glamorous American girlfriend of Danish PM's son is being kicked out of the country

Aran Katarina Kirschenmann, the American girlfriend of Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen's son, Bergur, is being kicked out of the country due to the country's stringent immigration laws. Bergur will be forced to take a temporary split from his Harvard-educated girlfriend, who has to leave the country by the end of the month. The 22-year-old social media star is too young to seek residence under Danish immigration laws. Because Kirschenmann is under the age of 24, she's not eligible to remain in Denmark following the 2002 passage of a law that was intended to end the automatic right of entry of a spouse. Kirschenmann has been living in Denmark as part of her Harvard University studies.

The fisherman, George, was filmed returning the two fish he caught at the Blairgowrie Pier, located in Victoria's south by sea-life enthusiast, Jules Casey. Shortly after throwing the second fish back in the ocean, a very hungry cormorant launched into the water and ate one of the fish before it started hunting for the other.
