Constance Wu pictured for first time since accusations of diva behavior and Fresh Off the Boat controversy

Crazy Rich Asians diva Constance Wu was spotted strolling in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood on Monday for the first time since her controversial tweets.

The 37-year-old Golden Globe nominee strolled past Benvenuto Cafe while clad in a cropped denim jacket, teal patterned dress, and beige platform heels.

The trouble began on May 10 when Wu angrily reacted to the sixth season renewal of her ABC sitcom, Fresh Off the Boat, in which she plays matriarch Jessica Huang.

Constance 'disliked' the post and tweeted she was 'so upset' because she was reportedly about to play a heroin addict in Jennifer Cho Suhr's road trip drama, You and Me Both.

The next day, the Virginia-born daughter of Taiwanese immigrants attempted to do damage control by apologizing for her 'ill-timed, insensitive words.'

'I love FOTB. I was temporarily upset yesterday not [because] I hate the show but [because] its renewal meant I had to give up another project that I was really passionate about. So my dismayed social media replies were more about that other project and not about FOTB,' the SUNY Purchase grad - who boasts 1.1M social media followers - wrote.

'In general, I've always sought artistic challenge over comfort and ease. I was disappointed in not being able to do that other project - because that other project would have challenged me as an artist - that other project would have been really hard and not easy or pleasant at all.'

'She is rude to everybody, but most of all the crew,' an insider told the mag.

'She refuses to do interviews, she won't have visitors on her sets...She thinks it's okay to treat people badly and say out loud whatever comes to her. She's the new Katherine Heigl, and if she's not careful, her movie career will go in the same direction — downhill.'

The SAG Award nominee plays exotic dancer Destiny in the film - hitting US/UK theaters September 13 - alongside Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Lizzo, and Mercedes Ruehl.
