The Goldfinch - which also stars Sarah Paulson and Ansel Elgort - is slated for release in September.

Her appearance on-set comes after Nicole said she thinks HBO series Pretty Little Lies is one of her greatest accomplishments career-wise.

In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, the actress revealed she has 'never been in something' that has had such a huge global reach and insisted it was the huge demand from fans that led to another season.

Big Little Lies, based on the book of the same name by author Liane Moriarty, follows the lives of six mothers living in California and the rivalries that form between them.

Nicole plays Celeste Wright on the show, a mother-of-two who is in an abusive relationship.

Despite having an Academy Award to her name and an impressive filmography spanning over the last three decades, she told the paper: 'I've never been in something that reached so far, globally.'
