Bond girl Ana De Armas pays tribute to her home country of Cuba in gushing post as she gives fans a glimpse at her childhood home, school and family
She is set to star as one of the latest Bond Girls in 007's hotly-anticipated return to screens in Bond 25.
And Ana De Armas paid tribute to her home country of Cuba, as she took to Instagram on Wednesday to show fans around Santa Cruz del Norte, which is an hour’s drive east of the capital, Havana.
In a gushing first post, of a picture featuring her and one of her grandparents, the 31-year-old actress wrote: 'This is home! This is Cuba. Where my family is at, my roots, my pride and my heart. My strength, my loved ones, my hood, my blood.

One stunning image saw the actress pose for a selfie with her mother Ana, who she called her number one.

Taking her followers on a tour of her hometown, Ana also showed off the colourful yet humble flats that she resided in, including the long walkway between residents.

Ana has acknowledged that her success only came because she made the decision to leave her home country.
Her departure was only possible as one set of grandparents is Spanish, and in one interview, she described her potential future if she chose to stay in Cuba.
‘I had there, in front of my eyes, former students of the school – graduates – who were not working or who didn’t have any money because they had to perform social service,’ she recalled.
‘I would turn on the television and see nothing more than old reruns of soap operas or things produced by ICRT [the Cuban broadcaster] that were of poor-quality due to the low budgets.
‘I was fortunate enough to also have Spanish nationality, and with that freedom I could come to Spain. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t had this advantage.’

The Cuban-Spanish star was confirmed as the brand new Bond Girl last month and will star in the as-yet-untitled Bond 25 film, which will be released on 8 April 2020.
Ana first made her Hollywood debut in 2015's Knock Knock alongside Keanu Reeves, and a quick look at her Instagram platform shows her love for uploading bikini and nearly nude snaps from idyllic locations around the world.
Born in Santa Cruz del Norte, Ana attended the National Theatre School of Cuba at the age of 12, and made her acting debut in 2006's Spanish film, Una rosa de Francia.
Ana made the successful crossover to Hollywood with Knock Knock, and then went on to work with Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright in 2017's Blade Runner 2049.
This will mark Ana's breakthrough Hollywood role and interestingly enough, she has already worked with Daniel Craig on the crime drama Knives Out, which is set for release in November of this year.
