Penny Lancaster, 48, tucks into an ice cream as she and husband Rod Stewart, 74, visit her father Graham (who is the same age as the rocker) on Southend seaside break

They're the loved-up couple who have been happily married since 2007.

And Rod Stewart, 74, and Penny Lancaster enjoyed a day at the seaside in Southend last month, where the pair visited her dad Graham, who is the same age as the Maggie May star.

The TV personality, 48, was spotted soaking up the sun whilst tucking into a 99 Flake ice cream before she headed into a candy rock shop to get a souvenir.

Penny looked casually chic as she stepped out in a black blazer and a colourful logo print shirt, which she paired with dark leggings.

Her blonde locks fell over her shoulders in a sleek, straight style and she brushed her fringe forward to frame her face well.

The Loose Women panellist shielded her eyes with a pair of stylish shades, while she kept her personal items in a Gucci handbag.

Meanwhile Rod showed off his eccentric sense of style by wearing a sky-blue blazer over a white T-shirt with a rugby player print.

Tucking his top into a pair of light denim jeans, the Baby Jane hitmaker gave his look an extra glam flair by wearing a studded black belt.

The singer's blonde locks were styled into his signature spikes, while he wore a pair of blue-tinted shades to complete his ensemble.

Meanwhile passionate model railway fan Sir Rod donated £10,000 to a club on Monday whose 'priceless' exhibition was destroyed by yobs over the weekend.

Well-wishers have already raised more than £60,000 to help Market Deeping Model Railway Club, in Lincolnshire, after vandals went on a rampage over the weekend, breaking into the school where its annual show was taking place and trashing their sets.

The club has been blown away today by a flood of donations on a Just Giving website that was set up aiming to bring in just £500 to help 'get them back on their feet'.

Sir Rod, who made a film earlier this year about his own 100ft model railway at his Beverley Hills home in California, also called on his friends and fellow enthusiasts Jools Holland and The Who's Roger Daltrey to follow his example

The musician said: 'I was absolutely devastated to hear that vandals had destroyed what was to be a lovely show by the Market Deeping Model Railway Club over the weekend.

'The collection was priceless and I am donating £10,000 to help compensate those affected and asking fellow enthusiasts Jools Holland, Roger Daltrey and others to do the same. It took me 23 years to build my model railway so I feel their pain.'

The singer previously praised his wife of 11 years for bringing his eight children from five different relationships together.

Proud father Rod has openly championed the varying ages of his children, claiming it has kept him a 'child at heart'.

Speaking of his youngest children whom he shares with Penny, the rocker gushed on Loose Women earlier this year: 'They're all adorable, the seven and 12 year old really take up a lot of my time - that's why I've got my injured foot!

'They are of different ages, all the way from the 20s to the 30s. It keeps me a kid as well at heart.'
