Jameela Jamil has been left fuming after Elle Fanning revealed she fainted during a Cannes dinner because of her dress.
After actress Elle, 21, took to Instagram to inform her fans she had collapsed at the Chopard Trophee dinner on Monday because her 'time of the month' interfered with the size of the dress, Jameela condemned the fashion industry's sample size culture.
Pointing out the Maleficent star's slender frame, Jameela, 33, raged on Twitter that she shouldn't be 'blaming herself for being a few pounds heavier' - instead 'she should be horrified at the dress.'

Jameela made her opinions known on the situation, as she tweeted: 'Jesus Christ, reading about Elle Fanning, a *very* thin actress FAINTING because her sample size Prada dress was too tight, and then blaming it on her period, rather than the fact that sample sizes are fucking INSANE these days... is symptomatic of a huge problem in fashion...
'Incredibly slender Elle shouldn’t be blaming herself for being a few pounds heavier on her period. She should be horrified at the size of the dress.'
The Good Place actress also ensured she made clear where her fury stemmed from.
Jameela tweeted: 'TO BE CLEAR this is NOT me hitting out at Elle Fanning, but at the fashion industry for making a grown woman faint in their clothing. ❤️.'

This came after shock news that Elle blamed her tight designer dress after fainting at the Chopard Trophee dinner at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday night.
The beauty, who is a member of the Cannes jury this year, was seated at a table with her sister Dakota, 25, when she fainted and fell off her chair, according to Variety.
The fainting episode happened as festival director Thierry Fremaux introduced actor Francois Civil, as Dakota quickly helped her up before 'security whisked them away.'
Eyewitnesses told Variety that Fanning's fainting caused the festivities to be, 'briefly paused as a hush fell over the crowd.'

After her Cannes duties are through, Fanning will have a busy back half of the year, with a number of movies in various stages of production.
The actress starred in Teen Spirit, which hit theaters last month, and she also has A Rainy Day in New York, alongside Selena Gomez, slated for release later this year.
Fanning will also reprise her role as Princess Aurora in Disney's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which just had the first trailer released last week.
The sequel to 2014's Maleficent, which stars Angelina Jolie as the title character, is set to hit theaters October 18.
