Make like Melissa in an ombre midi skirt by A.L.C.

Melissa McCarthy stepped in to host The Ellen Show earlier this month, and she certainly did so in style!

She teamed a pleated skirt by A.L.C. with the matching printed shirt. Pastel colours really suit her, and we love the ombre effect of this co-ord!

During their chat, Melissa, 48, who played the role of Megan in the movie, asked Maya if she still receives comments about the rom-com.

In response, Maya said: 'For me, I think I will always be the lady that took a s**t in the street.

'And you might have molten lava coming out of you for the rest of your life,' she joked, making reference to the infamous scene that saw the bride Lillian, played by Maya, and her group of bridesmaids coming down with a bout of food poisoning during a dress fitting at a high-end boutique.

The scene sees the group fighting for use of the toilet after they become violently ill.

However, due to the fact there was only one toilet available, some women were forced to go to the bathroom elsewhere.

While Melissa was seen taking to the sink, Maya ended up running outside the store and onto the street, where she soiled herself while wearing her potential wedding dress.

The mother-of-four explained that she was recently in a Starbucks coffee shop when she received a comment about the infamous scene.

She said: 'This is a very true story. I just went to Starbucks recently [and] this happens to me all the time, people are like "hey, you're that lady that took a s**t in the street".

'And then I was at Starbucks recently and my Starbucks name, in case anybody wants to know, is Donna.

'Because no one spells Maya correctly and then they pass it to the next person and they say "Mia" or "Moira".

'Like, my name is not Moira,' she added, stating that she pretends that her name is Donna in order to avoid confusion.

She continued: 'So I was waiting for them to say "Donna" and then this guy just sheepishly handed me this cup. Do we have a picture of my Starbucks cup?'

A photo of the cup she received from the employee then appeared on the screen, revealing that it had her famous line 'It's happening, I'm s****ing in the street' written on it.

Laughing at the hilarious situation, Melissa told the audience: 'Just as a fun fact, please don't ever write that on the side of a beverage.'

And Maya isn't the only one of the cast to receive comments about the movie, as Melissa added: 'Every once in a while I get a "did you really do that in that sink?" and I think "no, my dear, no I did not."'

'That's humanly impossible if you do it over and over again,' Maya said.

Melissa added: 'I know. I was like it's not a one take thing, and then I was like "wait, I'm getting into it too much. I'm explaining it."'

Bridesmaids was released in 2011, and received two academy award nominations.  The script was written by Annie Mumolo and Kristen Wiig, who played the part of Annie - the maid of honor for Lillian's wedding.

The film follows the group of bridesmaids, all of whom are struggling with their own personal issues, along a series of funny, tragic and heartfelt moments as they prepare for the big day.
