The Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Brooklyn continued filming in New York City on Tuesday, with several of the stars spotted like Jon Bernthal and Vera Farmiga.

The actors, who portray the parents of young Tony Soprano, James Gandolfini's iconic character from The Sopranos, were spotted in their Sunday best, with Jon tossing a football around with William Ludwig as a much younger Tony Soprano.

Gandolfini's own son, Michael Gandolfini, is stepping into his father's footsteps as the primary version of Tony Soprano in this upcoming film.

Farmiga was wearing a light blue sundress with a light blue shawl over the dress, as she was seen tending to a young child on the front steps.

Their on-screen son William Ludwig was seen tossing a football while wearing a sharp purple suit with brown shoes.

Alessandro Nivola was also spotted on the New York set, playing Dickie Moltisanti, the father of The Sopranos character Christopher Moltisanti, played by Michael Imperioli.

Nivola was spotted wearing a sharp, light blue three-piece suit while chatting with Farmiga and Bernthal on the set.

The Many Saints of Brooklyn explores the formative years of Tony Soprano through his childhood in New Jersey.

The story is set during the 1960s Newark Riots, following the violent conflict between the Italian mobsters and African-American gangs.

Filming began on April 3 in Brooklyn, New York, with production shifting to Newark in early May.

The Sopranos creator David Chase wrote the script for The Many Saints of Brooklyn with Lawrence Konner, with Alan Taylor directing.

The cast also includes Ray Liotta, Billy Magnussen, John Magaro, Corey Stoll and Nick Vallelonga.

Paramount has set a September 25, 2020 release date for The Many Saints of Brooklyn.
