The Voice: Julia Michaels admits to 'horrible stage fright' while mentoring Adam Levine's singers as battles end
Julia Michaels despite being an international megastar admitted on Tuesday's episode of The Voice that she still struggles with stage fright and self consciousness.
The 24-year-old Grammy winner and triple-platinum artist admitted to being thwarted by self doubt and fear.
The Issues singer was appearing as a guest mentor helping out Adam Levine on the NBC singing competition show.

In the last of this season's battle rounds she was coaching Team Adam's Jackie Verna, a 22-year-old car crash survivor, from Pennsylvania and Stephanie Skipper, a 33-year-old Tennessean who never knew her father.
'I have horrible stage fright…I know what it's like to feel self conscious, to feel like you're not good enough, I definitely did that for a really long time, I definitely suppressed what I wanted out of fear,' she told her protégées.
The contestants competed over These Dreams by Heart.
'This was one of the most even battles I've ever seen,' said 41-year-old country star Blake Shelton.

Adam picked Jackie, while praising both of the women for their 'power, proficiency and emotion.'
The other guest mentors were 56-year-old country legend Trace Adkins, 21-year-old Pitch Perfect star Hailee Steinfeld and 19-year-old Canadian artist Shawn Mendes.
The second battle was between Terrence Cunningham and Livia Faith who were pitted against each other by their coach Alicia Keys.

Their song was Stars by Grace Potter And The Nocturnals, for which they were coached by Shawn Mendes.
He advised them to 'connect to the concept of the song.'
Terrence, a 36-year-old dad from Washington DC, beat Livia, a 17-year-old high school student from small town Kentucky.
'Terrence you blew us away,' said Adam, the 36-year-old frontman of Maroon 5.

Blake said they made him feel like he wasn't on The Voice, for once.
'It was refreshing, because I'm here every day of my life,' he said.
Next was Blake's singers as Spensha Baker, a 24-year-old gospel-trained Texan competed against Dallas Caroline, a 17-year-old Californian country singer.
They did I Could Use A Love Song by Maren Morris.
Trace Adkins coached them.
'This is the first time I've seen Trace smile all day, when you two walked in,' joked Blake.
'It's true,' admitted Trace.

'Only an idiot would put those two against each other,' remarked Adam after their performance.
Blake picked Spensha, while calling Dallas a 'great freaking singer.'
'There's not a clear winner here,' he added.

Alicia, who wanted another female for her team, swooped in to steal Dallas.
'Dallas I'm so happy you have a good coach now,' joked Adam.
A couple more battles were mentioned briefly, which ended that phase of this season: from Team Adam Angela Bonilla lost against Gary Edwards with When You Believe.

On Team Blake, Austin Giorgio and Brett Hunter did Me and Mrs. Jones, with Austin winning.
The Voice returns on Wednesday with a recap episode of the blind auditions and battle rounds on NBC.
Kelly joined the show this season as a new judge.
