The Cambridges have released videos of themselves playing as a family in Kate's Chelsea Flower Show garden - and in one, Prince William appears to call Princess Charlotte 'mignonette' (pictured). The term is a diminutive form of the French 'mignon', meaning 'cute'. While many fans took to social media to swear they heard the affectionate nickname being used (inset), others think he was simply asking his daughter if she'd been on the rope swing.

Princess Eugenie, 29, (right) was all smiles as she spoke with Duke of Edinburgh Gold award recipients in the Buckingham Palace garden. The Princess wore a £1,900 sleeveless silk dress from her wedding dress designer Peter Pilotto for today's event. Furious workers (pictured main leaving Scunthorpe plant today) and their families slammed the government, saying ministers should hang their heads in shame, for not intervening to save British Steel as the manufacturer today collapsed. The government cited EU rules that make a bailout illegal as they refused the firm a bailout loan. Up to 4,000 jobs in Scunthorpe (plant pictured bottom right), North Lincolnshire, 800 in Teesside and 20,000 in the UK supply chain are at risk. It is illegal under EU law for members to offer state aid to companies in case it distorts single market competition (inset, the decline in UK steel manufacturing over the years). But exceptions can be made in cases where more than 15,000 jobs will be lost. Communities affected by the collapse said it 'will crucify Scunthorpe' as calls for nationalisation combined with demands the UK leaves the EU immediately.

Tom Ray (pictured without his prosthetics right, and left with his wife Nic and inset on their wedding day in 1998) was fit and healthy and living in Rutland in the East Midlands before he contracted sepsis at the age of 38 in 1999. He spent three months in a coma during which time his wife Nic gave birth to their second child Fred, a brother for Grace. Due to his illness, the family lost their business and had to sell their home. Mr Ray's sepsis - caused by a cut to his gum during a trip to the dentist, combined with a chest infection - came on rapidly and led to vomiting and a high temperature. He fell into a coma and when he awoke he could not recognise his wife.

A British parents of Muslim convert 'Jihadi Jack' have arrived at the Old Bailey to face trial for allegedly sending money to their son after he joined ISIS. John Letts, 58, and Sally Lane, 56, (pictured arriving at court, left) allegedly sent or attempted to send Jack Letts (right) a total of £1,723 between September 2015 and January 2016. It is alleged that the pair had reasonable cause to suspect the money they sent would or might be used for terrorist purposes. The parents, from Oxford, have denied three charges of funding terrorism. Their trial is being heard at the Old Bailey today and is expected to last three to four weeks.

Game of Thrones officially ended on Sunday, but it actually wrapped up filming last year after the cast committed more than eight years to the show. Maisie, 22, (far left) became known for her role as Arya Stark with brunette hair. But she showed off fuchsia and then blonde locks after filming wrapped up. Kit, 32, (far right) then decided to cut his curly hair and shave his beard after filming. Other actors whose appearances altered from their Game of Thrones characters includes Sophie Turner (second from the left), Gwendoline Christie (second from the right) and Emilia Clarke.

Labour and the Brexit Party were also adamant that the UK should have cut ties with the EU by now. But because of the Article 50 extension, the government has been forced to proceed. Voters will elect 73 MEPs to represent them in the European Parliament for a five-year term - although their roles will cease to exist if the country leaves the EU before then. Unlike Westminster elections, a form of proportional representation is used, with seats allocated to parties depending on their share of the vote.

Ian Clowes, 68, from Poole, Dorset, was due to be evicted on the day he triggered an 'almighty explosion' and almost killed both him and ex-wife Elaine Clowes, 63, a Bournemouth court heard. She was found alive amid a pile rubble in her bedroom while Mr Clowes suffered serious burns that caused him to spend six weeks in a medically induced coma.

Location, Location, Location host Kirstie Allsopp, 47, pictured left, warned people to think twice about painting their homes grey on Twitter today, sparking a heated debate. The presenter said even the 'palest grey' paint should be carefully considered, adding: 'It seems to be very fashionable at the moment and I've yet to see it done successfully.' In response, dozens of Twitter users shared photographs of their own homes, all painted in a range of grey shades (pictured right). One even suggested Kirstie 'pop over' to hers so she could change her mind.

Thousands have called for the 'Go Topless Galveston' event to be cancelled after police arrested 125 Jeep enthusiasts from Thursday to Saturday on Crystal Beach in Texas (pictured: a brawl breaks out on the beach, left; a woman enjoying the party, right; another drinks from a beer funnel, inset; and people arrested, bottom center). Shocking footage shows half-naked men jumping out of 4x4s and pounding each other over the head. Police rushed to the beach to deal with car crashes, public intoxication, drink driving, vehicle burglary and other offenses, after the party spiraled out of control. An ambulance helicopter was rushed in such was the volume of people with injuries and police have blamed larger than expected crowds for the chaos.

Seyi Akiwowo (pictured left with the bride) from London took to Twitter (inset) to blast a former friend whose wedding she attended in Romania. She says the bride asked her to transfer money a day after the celebrations ended. Guests were asked to make a 'contribution towards the wedding costs', and Seyi and her friend (pictured right) popped 25 euros in an envelope. But the bride then got in touch to say that amount wasn't enough to cover the cost of her and her mate attending. Seyi recalls how the bride had offered gift bags and treated guests to an open bar. The Twitter post received a flood of comments with many slamming the bride for expecting guests to cover the wedding costs.

Manchester fell silent today as thousands of people came together to pay their respects (main and inset) to the victims who lost their lives (bottom) in one of the worst terror attacks in the history of the UK. Ariana Grande led tributes two years on from the atrocity in which 22 men, women and children were killed by suicide bomber Salman Abedi as he detonated an explosive in the foyer of Manchester Arena after her gig in May 2017. The pop star, 25, posted a picture of a single worker bee - the symbol of Manchester - on her Instagram story today, as others across the country followed suit. Scores of people have left floral tributes, drawings and messages of support in St Anne's Square in the city to remember the victims.

NEW A disturbing video filmed in Chell in Stoke-on-Trent shows a girl, believed to be 13, surrounded by a group of men, some of them carrying weapons. The girl is heard screaming furiously at one of the men before he strikes her with what appears to be a glass bottle. Four men then chase the attacker down the street brandishing baseball bats and other large objects. One of the men manages to catch up with him and tries to hit him with his bat, while the young girl's cries can be heard in the background. No arrests are believed to have been made in connection with the brawl.

The Queen, 93, looked elegant in a mint green coat and matching hat as she visited a pop-up Sainsbury's store in central London this morning (left and right). The shop is designed to look just like the supermarket's first branch, which opened its doors on Drury Lane in 1869. When it first opened, the shop sold only butter, milk and eggs. The Queen's great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria was on the throne at the time.

Boris Johnson (centre) has put his north London home on the market as he readies himself to fight to become the next Prime Minister of the UK. The 54-year-old has listed the Islington property (top left) for £3.75million, a rise in value of nearly £2million over the £1.9million the four-bedroom end-of-terrace house changed hands for in 2005. The property features a spacious kitchen (bottom right) as well as big living areas (top right and bottom left) which could be used to entertain guests.

A Game Of Thrones fan took to Twitter to point out several similarities between the hit HBO series and Shrek. Twitter user @ohmytargaryen took to the social media platform on Saturday, April 20, to point out several similarities between the two productions. Sharing a series of comparison photos, the user said: 'So basically Game of Thrones is a Shrek live action.' The eagle-eyed user compared Shrek's Lord Farquaad and Princess Fiona (top left) to a photo of Game of Thrones' characters Tyrion Lannister and Sansa Stark (bottom left), as well as pointing out the physical similarity between Jamie Lannister (bottom right) from Game Of Thrones and Prince Charming (top right) from Shrek. Since the tweet was shared on Saturday, April 20, it has accumulated over 140,000 likes and almost 50,000 retweets from fans of the show.

Davina McCall has reportedly found new love with longtime pal, Michael Douglas.   The TV presenter, 51, who divorced her husband Matthew Robertson last year after 17 years of marriage, is said to have moved on to the hairdresser and celebrity stylist, 45 - who she has known for more than 20 years.  The presenter certainly looked in great spirits as she flashed a coy smile while on her way to work at ITV studios in London on Wednesday, as news of new romance broke.  

Self-driving delivery vehicles may be getting closer to becoming a reality, but Ford believes there's one leg of the process that could be further solved by robots. Ford's autonomous delivery robot robot is capable of lifting packages that weigh 40lbs, so it can deliver your pizza, Amazon package or groceries straight to your doorstep.

The clip shot in Shenyang City, China, shows a British Shorthair cat sitting on a bedroom floor while licking her paw and using it to wipe her face. Her two kittens who are sitting in a line facing their mum then begin to copy her by rubbing their ears with both paws. At several points during the 30-second clip the mother pauses grooming and looks at the camera - and every time she does so her kittens stop licking themselves too.

Adam Koszary (left) has cashed in on the success of a tweet he posted while working for Reading's Museum of English Rural Life. Now he's becoming Tesla's Social Media Manager. The extraordinary career move is thought to be down to just one tweet, showing a muscular Exmoor ram with the caption 'Look at this absolute unit', which he posted on the feed of Reading's Museum of English Rural Life last year. The meme (right), which showed a photo taken on a Devon farm from the 1960s, went around the world, amassing more than 110,000 likes and attracting the attention of Tesla boss Elon Musk (top right).

Daniel Heard, 40, was confronted by a senior manager in the Lincoln High Street store where he regularly buys food and drink from the reduced price section for the rough sleepers outside. As he went in to the Tesco Express, a homeless couple asked him for food - which he agreed to purchase - but the homeless woman changed her mind and ran into the store to ask for a milkshake which prompted an employee to throw her out on suspicions of 'stealing'.

The rare pictures that were taken around the turn of the 19th century in the state of Colorado show 'soiled doves', girls in white dresses who came to boom towns such as Denver to keep the working men company. Demi Lambe, from Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, climbed into the tiny cupboard but quickly regretted her decision. Instead of helping her out, Ms Lamb's friend Annalise Oram decided to film her ordeal before posting it to social media, where it has racked up more than 200,000 views. In the clip, filmed on May 13, Ms Lambe and be seen saying: 'I can't get out, I can't get out, I can't f***ing get out,' before putting her head in her hands. Two boys try to pull her out but fail miserably. A second clip shows Ms Lambe still trapped inside while explaining to a staff member what had happened.

Abandoned bear cubs have been filmed play-fighting, gnawing their paws and tucking into bowls of porridge at a Russian bear sanctuary. The 16 cubs will be released into the wild. Adorable video shows the balls of fluff rolling around in the leaflitter and trying to grab each other's paws at the centre in Bubonitsy village, which is run by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. As well as playing the cubs are also shown munching on porridge made from buckwheat, oatmeal and eggs.

In 1945, the group of 300 children posed for a photograph (top) in the Old Town Square in Prague, in what was then Czechoslovakia, after they were freed from Theresienstadt concentration camp in the German-occupied country. Aged between three and 17 at the time, they were taken to the Lake District to recover from the Nazi horrors they had witnessed, and became known as the Windermere Boys. Now in 2019, 10 of them are still alive and have gathered on the same spot in Prague to take the same picture again (bottom) with hundreds of their relatives, singing songs in Hebrew and Yiddish in front of a statue of religious reformer Jan Hus.
