Constance Wu steps out in floral frock and shades after claims pet rabbit 'destroyed' NYC penthouse she rented

She's been called a diva for reacting angrily to news of her sitcom's renewal and been accused of letting her pet rabbit 'destroy' her multi-million dollar Manhattan apartment rental.

But Constance Wu put on a stoic face as she waited for a ride in New York City on Tuesday.

The Fresh Off The Boat star, 37, was snapped standing with her arms folded on the sidewalk after lunching at an Italian eatery in the Tribeca neighborhood.

Wu wore a pretty floral frock with a ruffled neckline and ruffled cuffs on the half sleeves.

She went bare-legged in nude pumps and wore a round purse on a long leather shoulder strap.

Her hair was tied back into a ponytail and she sported round sunglasses and hoop earrings.

Just 24-hours earlier, PageSix.com reported that the landlord of the penthouse she rented for a few months while filming Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez in NYC claimed she'd let her pet rabbit run wild in the swanky residence.

'There was poop and pee everywhere, and the actress had done nothing to clean it up,' a building insider told the gossip website.

'The animal went all over the entrance way, the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom,' the source added. 'The place totally stank, it was disgusting, there were little pellets of poo everywhere, and Constance seemed oblivious to it. She seems to sleep with the bunny, and there was even poop in the bed.'

However, a source close to Wu defended her, saying the landlord was 'told in advance' that she had a pet bunny and no one asked her to 'leave the apartment.'

'She actually stayed longer than intended. Her stay was extended for a few weeks, so they couldn’t have had a problem with her or her pet,' the source noted.

Wu came in for heavy criticism earlier this month after tweeting an expletive in response to ABC's announcement it is renewing Fresh Off The Boat for a sixth season.

The actress, who starred in last summer's hit movie Crazy Rich Asians, 'disliked' the ABC tweet.

She then tweeted: 'So upset right now that I’m literally crying. Ugh. F***.'

The next day, the daughter of Taiwanese immigrants attempted to do damage control by apologizing for her 'ill-timed, insensitive words' and saying she was upset because the renewal meant she would have to pass on a project she had wanted to do.

And last Wednesday, Page Six claimed Wu was 'the most hated person on set' of Lorene Scafaria's stripper drama Hustlers, which wrapped on May 4.

The outlet quoted an insider who said: 'She is rude to everybody, but most of all the crew.'

'She refuses to do interviews, she won't have visitors on her sets... She thinks it's okay to treat people badly and say out loud whatever comes to her. She's the new Katherine Heigl, and if she's not careful, her movie career will go in the same direction — downhill.'

Wu plays exotic dancer Destiny in the film alongside JLo, Cardi B, Lizzo, and Mercedes Ruehl that's set to hit theatres in September.
