Police have arrested a man they say grabbed a 74-year-old woman off the street, held her captive for five hours and repeatedly raped her, before leaving her semi-conscious on the sidewalk.
Manuel Jesus Amador, 47, is being held in San Francisco County in connection with the May 10 attack, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.
The woman was walking along Prague Street near McLaren Park in the city's southeast at around 8am when police say Amador grabbed her and dragged her up a driveway and into his house.

Authorities said his roommate's pitbull bit the woman's hip, ankles and feet several times.
The attacker locked the victim in a room for five hours and repeatedly raped her.
The woman told investigators that the rapist also strangled her and she reportedly lost consciousness for half an hour.
The man then dressed her, dragged her back outside and left her barely conscious on the street, authorities said.
A passerby spotted her and called emergency services. The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
Police locked up Amador in county jail on May 17 and charged him with rape by force, violence or threat of bodily injury, and kidnapping to commit another crime.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that prosecutors plan to ask the judge not to set bail for the defendant as his alleged crime is so horrific that he would be a danger to the public if allowed to go free.
'This case is particularly egregious,' District Attorney George Gascon and Assistant District Attorney Margaret Buitrago wrote in their petition to the Superior Court.
They said the 'defendant’s lack of criminal history should not dilute the severity of [his] conduct.'
Gascon and Buitrago also pointed out that crimes against elderly victims carry additional penalties under the law.
A judge is expected to rule on bail at Amador’s arraignment on Thursday.
It is unclear whether the defendant has a lawyer.
The Chronicle said it is withholding the victim’s name because of the nature of the crime.
