A shocking photo shows Clarisa Figueroa (center) smiling and posing with the baby boy she allegedly ripped from the womb of his pregnant mother, 19-year-old Marlen Ochoa (left). Figueroa pretended to be Yavani Yadiel Lopez’s mother on April 23 as she entered the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois, shortly after she strangled his mother, according to police. She told doctors she had birthed Yavani (right) but showed no signs of labor. Figueroa was covered in blood and was holding the gravely ill child as hospital staff worked to treat him. For weeks, Figueroa (bottom right inset) pretended the baby was hers and even set up a GoFundMe page asking for donations to help care for him. But on May 7, Chicago police arrested and charged Figueroa and her daughter, Desiree, 24, with first-degree murder. Authorities said the two women lured Ochoa to Figueroa's home on April 23 with the promise of free baby supplies, but she was instead strangled, and her baby extracted from her womb. Piotr Bobak, 40, whom police described as the elder Figueroa's boyfriend, was charged with concealing the murder. Yavani is still in the hospital. He has zero brain function but his family says they are praying for a miracle and will not turn off his ventilator. On Sunday, he opened his eyes in his father's arms for the very first time. Figueroa, her daughter and her boyfriend are currently in custody and will return to court on June 3.

Michael Avenatti has revealed the details surrounding his New York City arrest two months ago and admits that he 'flew too close to the sun' while representing his former client Stormy Daniels. Avenatti gained notoriety while representing the ex adult film star from February 2018 to February 2019 in her legal battles with Donald Trump over hush money she received for an alleged affair with the president in 2006. His fall from grace began when he was arrested in November in Los Angeles for domestic violence, though he did not face felony charges. The vocal Trump critic was then arrested in New York's Hudson Yards in March for allegedly attempting to extort $25million from Nike. He recalled how he told FBI agents at the time that he 'appreciated the fact that I wasn't treated like Roger Stone'. Avenatti also revealed that after he was booked at the police station, he called his mother. 'You never want to call your mother and tell her that you're in custody,' he said. 'But live by the sword, die by the sword,' Avenatti added. On Wednesday, federal prosecutors charged Avenatti with ripping off Daniels. Avenatti, who helped set the political stage for Daniels' high-profile crusade against Trump, is accused of misappropriating funds belonging to the ex adult film star amounting to nearly $300,000, prosecutors announced.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has sparked outrage from lawmakers after announcing that American hero Harriet Tubman will not appear on the $20 bill as planned for 2020. The US Treasury will not introduce a redesigned $20 bill picturing escaped slave and abolitionist Tubman next year, Mnuchin said on Wednesday. In 2016, the Treasury Department said it would replace former President Andrew Jackson's image on the front of the bill with that of Tubman by 2020, along with redesigns of the $5 and $10 bill. Democratic Rep Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, grilled Mnuchin on the status of the redesign of the $20, $10, & $5 bills proposed during the Obama Administration at a hearing of the House Financial Services Committee Wednesday morning.

The White House showdown in the Cabinet Room came at what had been supposed to be a summit with Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and other top Democrats to hammer out how to pay for a $2 trillion infrastructure package.

Rob O’Neill (left), the decorated special forces soldier who shot Osama Bin Laden (inset) during the raid on his Abottabad, Pakistan compound in May 2011, confirmed on Wednesday the account first given on Tuesday by retired Navy Admiral William McRaven (right). McRaven said that he asked a 6ft2in sniper in the unit to lie down next to Bin Laden's corpse after the raid. ‘So I went back and reported to the president that we still needed to do some DNA but I was pretty certain it was Bin Laden,' McRaven said.

A Broadcast Operations Manager for a local California CBS News station tripped out after touching LSD left on a synthesizer from the 1960s (pictured). Eliot Curtis (pictured inset) - who works for KPIX Channel 5 – was repairing the device that had been abandoned in a cold, dark corner of San Francisco's Cal State University East Bay. Curtis said after he removed a module and sprayed underneath a knob to clean 'a crust or a crystalline residue' he'd spotted, the dissolved matter started to have an effect.

A new special will set to air later this year will show viewers never-before-seen footage from the wedding of John F Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette. The special was first announced back in 2018 and was recently acquired by Cineflix. It features footage shot by Kennedy's friend Steven Gillion, who will release a book about Kennedy later this year. 'On an island off of Georgia we came together on this 18th century plantation. In this dirty, dilapidated, shuttered church next to a pig sty,' says a friend of the couple in the preview. 'No air conditioning, very little power on the island. It was the best place for them to host a secret ceremony.' He later notes: 'Nobody would have expected that three years later we'd be at another church for another reason.'

First responders received a call at roughly 10.15am Sunday from Michelle Casey's boyfriend stating that she fell at the Neahkahnie Mountain Viewpoint off Highway 101 near Manzanita. He shared with authorities that Casey was taking photos over the retaining wall when she fell. A tree stopped her from falling into the ocean but she was badly injured and had to be airlifted to a hospital. Casey died from her injuries.

The DUI suspect who launched wild police chase in stolen RV on Tuesday has been identified as Julie Ann Rainbird, 52, of Winnetka. Simi Valley police say the RV was purchased using a stolen identity in Downey, California. An LA woman reported her identity was stolen on April 30, which led police to the Santa Clarita lot where Rainbird was found in the RV. After cops approached the camper around 7pm on Tuesday, Rainbird sped away, smashing into at least six cars and a palm tree before coming to halt and running on foot. Rainbird was booked into jail on $100,000 bail for possible evasion, hit-and-run and assault charges. She was previously convicted of identity theft in January 2015.

The Duchess of Sussex's makeup artist Daniel Martin opened up about the moment in the CBS News special Meghan and Harry Plus One. Daniel said when he sent her a photo, she texted him 'the big eye emoji.' The exact emoji that was sent remains unclear, but it was likely the flushed face emoji, which is a yellow face with wide eyes and blushing cheeks. The oil painting, which shows Meghan donning a crown and jewels, was created by Brooklyn-based artist Tim O'Brien. Shocking footage shows half-naked men jumping out of 4x4s and pounding each other over the head. Police rushed to the beach to deal with car crashes, public intoxication, drink driving, vehicle burglary and other offenses, after the party spiraled out of control. An ambulance helicopter was rushed in such was the volume of people with injuries and police have blamed larger than expected crowds for the chaos.

On Wednesday, Ayesha posted an Instagram photo that prompted a fan to ask if she was pregnant. West Point will celebrate its most diverse graduating class in its 217-year history this weekend - with a record number of Hispanic and black female graduates. The class includes 34 African American women (main and inset) - a jump from last year's class of 27. Out of nearly 1,000 cadets graduating Saturday, more than 200 are women. Class of 2019 also boasts the highest number of female Hispanic cadets. This year the 1,000th Jewish person will also graduate from West Point.

Ashley Kaltwasser, a three-time winner of the Bikini Olympia contest, was filmed attempting the U.S. Navy's Physical Readiness Test. Active-duty Navy sailor Austen Alexander served as the 30-year-old's test proctor in the video, which he shared on his popular YouTube channel on May 1. As part of the test, participants are given two minutes to do as many sit-ups as possible and then two minutes to complete as many push-ups as they can. After finishing the two rounds, they have to do a timed one-and-a-half-mile run. Passing scores for the Physical Readiness Test vary based on gender and age. The 14-minute clip has been viewed more than 2.5 million times since it was posted earlier this month.

Bodycam footage from the moment a New Jersey police officer fatally shot a suspect in the head during a car chase has been released as he was indicted for aggravated manslaughter Tuesday. Newark Police Department officer Jovanny Crespo, 26, is heard repeatedly telling the driver of the law enforcement vehicle that he shot Gregory Griffin, 46, whose 35-year-old passenger Andrew Dixon was critically injured in the January 28 incident. The male cops joined the chase after a female officer had reported via radio seeing a gun in the vehicle during a traffic stop at Clinton Avenue and Thomas Street.

Some 18 Brazilian children trooped on to a stage inside a shopping centre in Cuiaba, Mato Grosso state, on Tuesday night hoping to catch the eye of potential adopters. The local adoption agency billed the event as 'a night when suitors - people who are fit to adopt - can get to know the children who are eligible for adoption'. But the spectacle of orphans being forced to pose on the catwalk has been slammed, with some even branding the treatment of the children to that of animals or slaves.

A deer and a bunny rabbit can be seen snuggling and playing in a scene that could be straight from the Disney movie 'Bambi'. A woman filmed the furry friends in a garden in Loomis, Washington last week. Darlene Wilbourn said the bunny has been following the deer's herd for months and they visit the backyard every day.

A burning hot Samurai blade sliced effortlessly through household items. The unusual experiment was tried by electronic engineer Vladimir Stovic at his home lab in Kostolac, Serbia. Bizarre footage shows the blade being heated to 1832 degrees Fahrenheit before being sliced through sponges, which immediately catch fire. Vladimir then cuts it through soap, which bubbles up responding to the extreme heat, and sponges used in washing up which start smoking.

Holidaymakers have been left shocked after discovering a real-life alligator lying on a gator-shaped pool float in Florida over the weekend.   Dave Jacobs, of Georgia, was visiting the sunshine state for a wedding when he noticed the reptile perched in the strange position at his Airbnb in Miami on Sunday.  Jacobs and his family had initially noticed the gator the previous day in a lake outside their holiday home. 

A Redditor said his wife's office pranked a male co-worker named Dave for two weeks. One woman gave him a pickle sticking halfway out of a pot (pictured) and told him it was a cactus (example inset). Eventually, the whole office was in on the joke. The original woman would sneak and replace the pickle every couple of days. She even had plans to have it 'grow' into a cucumber. Dave only learned the truth when his co-worker became convinced that he was reverse-pranking them all
