A woman driving an RV led authorities on a wild chase in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The RV was seen careening at speeds of up to 60mph from Santa Clarita into the San Fernando Valley, causing one of her frightened dogs to leap out the front window (pictured left in recovery and inset during the chase). The second dog, which had also tried to escape but was restrained by the driver, suffered two fractured paws (right) during the incident. Both female Cane Corso dogs are now recovering in the care of Los Angeles Animal Services.

Joel Johnson, 28, was walking between several cars in Philadelphia on Monday night at approximately 8.50pm when he was shot and critically wounded by the officer. Video shows Johnson walk up to the detective's vehicle and in the next moment, several shots are fired and the man falls to the ground. Johnson is listed as being in critical condition after being rushed to the hospital. Police say that the as yet unidentified plainclothes officer believed that the man had a weapon when he approached his vehicle. But no gun was found at the scene. The officer, who has been on the force for seven years is now currently on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Donald Lynn Cash (inset), 55, collapsed at Mt Everest's 29,029-foot summit while taking photos. Two sherpa guides helped him regain consciousness but he later died on the descent. His death came as more than 200 climbers were heading towards the summit on both sides of Everest as the weather cleared, which reportedly caused a traffic jam in the higher parts of the climb.

Mormon Temple in Oakland Hills, California is one of the most recognizable landmarks dotting the skyline of the Bay Area. And it is being opened to the public for a limited time only for the first time since it opened in 1964. The open-house comes after a 14-month renovation, and will run until the temple is rededicated on June 1. After that date, only devout Mormons will be permitted inside. 'We wanted to share it, and have the public understand that this is just a place to come and worship,' Elder Jay Pimentel said. At least a quarter of a million people signed up to take the guided tours, which will show off the temple's oak paneling and finishes, restored marble flooring, and relief artwork, including one which shows Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. The temple is not just a house of worship for the most devout Mormons, but is also an FAA beacon which helps airplanes land. 

Tony Robbins (left) released a YouTube clip on Wednesday denying allegations made by four women, including Sophiah Koikas (inset), who says the self-help guru pressed her hand against his penis. Kimberly Stokes, a former live-in assistant, says Robbins (seen right on stage during an event) walked into her bathroom while she showered and exposed himself to her. Mary Lantz alleges that during a seminar in Cleveland in the early 1990s, Robbins hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, and cupped her breast. Lucie Galvez says that during a job interview with Robbins, he asked her if she felt comfortable with him and his then-girlfriend being naked.

Meghan's best friend Jessica Mulroney, 39, has shared a picture from what appears to be Windsor town - seen right - in a department store just a stone's throw away from Windsor Castle. Jessica, whose daughter was a flower girl at Meghan, 37, and Harry's wedding, is thought to be visiting the UK to meet the Duke and Duchess' baby son Archie, who was born this month, inset. HBO has released a new poster and photos from the upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch. Series stars Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) are seen during a table read in one of the photos, but the rest of the images feature members of the massive behind-the-scenes team that helped put the show together. The two-hour documentary is slated to air Sunday, May 26 at 9 PM ET on HBO, the same time slot Game of Thrones has had for the past eight seasons.

Arron Piekarski was fishing with his father in Australia on Tuesday when the giant shark made a beeline towards them. 'I was out fishing for whiting and squid with my dad and really out of nowhere it come up from the back of the boat,' he told Daily Mail Australia. 'It hung around for probably five minutes or so doing laps of the boat.'

Aurora Rutledge, 31, rescued one-year-old Loki (pictured together left) two months ago and took him to a veterinarian to have a routine check up. When the medic looked in the dog's mouth (pictured right) she found it had 28 more teeth than a typical dog - and quickly took 21 of them out. After $770 worth of extractions, Loki is recovering at home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is on a strictly soft-food diet to help his mouth heal.

Graig Golias spent 10 years training six days a week - for an hour and a half at a time - to transform his body after he 'didn't like what he saw in the mirror' as a child (inset). Now 35 and living in Las Vegas, Nevada, the 6'3" bodybuilder weighs 350 pounds (pictured left and right) and works as an online coach. However, he admitted that his training regime made him 'addicted' to the gym and 'obsessed' with his appearance. Craig, who is originally from Ohio and once weighed only 140 pounds, said some people are 'shocked' when they see him but often ask him for tips.

This is the heart-breaking moment a girl knelt on the street in front of several traffic policemen to beg them not to beat her father in China. The nine-year-old child from the city of Guangzhou also used her own body to shield her father after officers savagely pushed him to the ground. The officers had allegedly accused the father of interrupting their work and breaking traffic rules.

The cubs became spooked after their mother was killed by a vehicle and ran up the 70ft tree, in Smithers, British Colombia, where they remained stranded for three days. Volunteers at the Northern Lights Wildlife Society, in Smithers, British Colombia,  enlisted the help of local hobby climber Stephen Bot, who fearlessly climbed the tree to reach them. After being brought to the ground, the bears, which appear to be sedated, have their ears tagged so they can be identified later. 'Those little cubs were not going to come down of their own accord,' said Angelika Langen, who runs the society with her husband Peter. The bears will be cared for by the society until they are old enough to fend for themselves in the wild.

The man held on for 30 minutes with flames billowing beside him before he was rescued by the fire service. It is believed the fire started after a short-circuit in his kitchen which the fire service eventually brought under control. The blaze blocked his exit through the apartment block and his only route to safety was through the third-floor window. No one was injured in the fire and the man was brought down to safety in a crane.

Paul Stys, from Naperville, Illinois, was shooting hoops when an unlikely motivator pulled up beside him. The mail woman told him to show off his skills and shouted words of encouragement at the young man from her van. Paul then duly obliged, landing an impressive slam dunk much to her delight. The video has since gone viral on Twitter receiving more than 250,000 likes, with many saying they wish they had a similar coach cheering them on in life.

The video was posted on the bird's Instagram page by owner Alexandrea Sharpe-Thompson, from Ontario, Canada. It shows the parrot, named Shadow, walking up her husband's chest to stop him kissing a black toy bird. The laughing man makes loud kissing noises and presses the toy to his mouth before Shadow pushes it out of the way and presses its beak to his mouth and nose. He laughs and picks Shadow up to make him run back up his chest. The upset bird continues to fall for the joke several more times and at one point stands near the man's shoulder to watch him kiss its toy rival again.
