Stranger Things scenes added to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights

  • Stranger Things-themed mazes will be coming to several Universal Studios parks
  • Halloween Horror Nights will be held this autumn at the Universal Studios parks
  • Stranger Things has been lauded by critics and is also one of Netflix's top series

Fans of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things can now get frighteningly close to the action at Universal Studios’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Mazes themed after the hit show will soon be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Singapore later this year. In years past, the Halloween-themed fun festival has featured other iconic horror films and TV shows such as American Horror Story and The Shining in its mazes. This year, the success of Stranger Things has made it a natural choice for the upcoming maze’s theme.

‘The parallel universe, referred to as the Upside Down that terrorized the small town of Hawkins, Indiana in Netflix’s mega-hit Stranger Things, will bring the chittering, predatory Demogorgon to Halloween Horror Nights to stalk unwitting guests as they encounter iconic scenes, characters and environments from the mesmerizing series,’ according to a new press release from Universal Studios.

The new maze will be created in collaboration with Netflix and will feature ‘authentic representations of Stranger Things, designed to transport guests into artfully recreated scenes and storylines'.

Just a few of the locations from the show to be featured in the maze will include the Hawkins National Laboratory, characters’ homes and the mysterious Upside Down.

Halloween Horror Nights will begin on Friday, September 14 at Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood and on Friday, September 28 at Universal Studios Singapore. Additional details about the upcoming event will be revealed in the near future, per Universal Studios’s press release.
