Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night, Halle shocked viewers by offering 'some words of encouragement' to the step-in host, Lena Waithe.

Lena, 35, admitted to 'feeling a little nervous' and needing 'some words of encouragement' for her first show.

Jimmy Kimmel’s security man had a solution, 'the Berry Button'; he pressed the button and all of a sudden, Halle popped out on stage.

The actress hyped up Lena by telling her: 'You are a force of a nature, you are a beautiful African American queen.'

Halle appeared on the late night talk show to promote her new film, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, which hit cinemas on Monday.
