The Game of Thrones finale has certainly been divisive among fans, and one famous fan who wasn't too happy about the ending is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The 35 year old quarterback pulled no punches while meeting with the media during the Packers' OTA program on Tuesday, and when asked by a reporter if he was happy with the ending of Game of Thrones, he answered, bluntly, 'No.'

Throughout the show's eight season run, fans have wondered who would end up on the Iron Throne when all was said and done, and they were given a rather controversial answer: Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), a.k.a. The Three-Eyed Raven.

Towards the end of the episode, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) advocated for Bran Stark, because he knows the history of Westeros better than anyone, therefore would be less likely to repeat it.

Still, Rodgers didn't agree with that assessment that Bran had the 'best story' of anyone in Westeros, which lead to him taking the throne.

'I love the show and it was a great ten years, but no,' Rogers said (via Wisconsin sports reporter Stephen Watson). 'You come down to the end and Tyrion says the person with the best story is Bran? Who, by the way, three episodes ago said he wasn't Bran Stark anymore?'

He then proceeds to list all of the characters he thought had a better story on Game of Thrones than Bran Stark.

'No, Jon had a better story, Dany had a better story, Arya had a better story, Sansa had a better story, Varys had a better story,' he began.

'Bronn, lot better story, Jaime, better story, Cersei, better stories, any Baratheon, better stories,' he added, before he was asked who he thought should have been on the Iron Throne.

'I mean, I think Dany should've been on the Throne,' Rodgers said, before launching into his 'last theory' about the show and its ending.

'If Bran, the Three-Eyed Raven, who's all about the health of the realm, let's think about what he did,' Rodgers began.

'He basically wanted the Throne the whole time, because he's the one who told the Starks, knowing that Sansa would tell Tyrion, knowing that Tyrion would talk to Varys, knowing they'd scheme for Dany's death, knowing that would piss her off, that lead her to be the Mad Queen,' referring to Jon Snow's true heritage that made him the true heir to the Iron Throne.

'So he, the entire time, kind of set this whole thing up, and then at the end he goes, "Oh yeah, I don't want to be King. Oh, but why did I travel all this way to be here. No,' he said.

'Look, I loved the opportunity to be in the show, which a lot of people don't think I was, but I was there, and I love the show. But you know, the writers are also doing Star Wars, so I think they might have been busy this last season,' he concluded.

Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss did sign on in February 2018 to write and produce a new Star Wars trilogy.

However, the scripts for the final season had already been written at that time, and they were already deep into production on the final season when the Star Wars announcement was made.

Filming spanned from October 2017 to July 2018 on the final season of Game of Thrones, which fans can explore in the new two-hour documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, airing Sunday, May 26 at 9 PM ET on HBO.
