Halle Berry has broken the internet by passionately kissing guest host Lena Waithe on the Jimmy Kimmel show on Wednesday.

And the Hollywood actress, 52, was clearly rather pleased with her efforts as she shared the moment on her Instagram Stories soon after on Wednesday.

She wrote: 'When my friend Lena Waithe hosts Jimmy Kimmel Live, s**t happens.'

Lena, 35. is happily engaged to Alana Mayo, 34, but didn't seem to mind the kiss as it's clear the two ladies are good friends.

John Travolta was also a guest on the show, after Halle and he joked about the moment.

He said: 'I kissed Halle in Swordfish [back in 2001]. I thought I was the only one who got to kiss her.'

But she told James Corden on The Late Late Show that it was trial run for an upcoming film.
