Thousands of climate change crusaders have descended on the streets of Melbourne to stage a massive 'die in' but are blocking streets and causing traffic chaos in the process. Activist group Extinction Rebellion organised the rally in Melbourne at Victoria's Parliament House on Friday to pressure the government to act on climate change. The activists flooded the streets from midday with crafty placards directed at freshly elected Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

NRL legend Greg Inglis has admitted himself to rehab for mental health difficulties.  The former South Sydney Rabbitohs and Queensland Origin captain will enter the unnamed clinic on Monday. Inglis, 32, retired in April with 18 months left on his contract and has apparently struggled with life after rugby despite his new role as a club ambassador.

A policeman who brought down Australia's worst ever paedophile has described him as a 'pure sociopath.'   Ruecha Tokputza, 31, raped 13 babies and boys over six years and shared footage of his horrific attacks online. Last Friday, Tokputza was sentenced to 40 years and three months behind bars with a non-parole period of 28 years.

Ms Damond was fatally shot by Mohamed Noor outside the home in Minneapolis that she shared with her American husband and his son on July 15, 2017. She had called 911 earlier that night to report a possible rape, and was shot after approaching the police car. Bodycam footage tendered to the court, along with video taken by a passing cyclist of officers performing CPR, was released on Thursday.

A man has been charged after allegedly running a black market animal trafficking ring from his Sydney home. Officers from Strike Force Raptor raided a home at Lethbridge Park in the city's west on Thursday and found a variety of animals (pictured) including a python, a turtle, three lizards and two dead crocodiles. Police then charged a 25-year-old with 169 offences relating to animal abuse and trafficking. the man allegedly caught rare animals himself before selling them off to overseas buyers for more than $38,000.

Five mums who are now able to fit into the clothes they wore decades ago have revealed the diet and fitness tips they used to transform their bodies and get into shape. The Australian mums, aged between 33 and 49, are all part of the Healthy Mummy community and have combined healthy yet nourishing meals, meal prepping, home workouts and gym sessions to achieve their results. Luann de Lesseps was in handcuffs on Thursday after a judge ordered her back to jail for allegedly violating her probation. Luann, 54, was pictured being cuffed by authorities in a Palm Beach court, after a judge deemed the reality star was not taking her probation seriously when she tested positive on an alcohol test and had failed to attend meetings, according to CBS12.   It was reported earlier this month that the Bravo star was in trouble for drinking a couple of mimosas - the popular brunch cocktail made of champagne and orange juice. 

A man was filmed lighting up a cigarette while aboard a morning Spirit Airlines flight headed to Minnesota on May 21. The man appeared to be in a daze as he took a puff and closed his eyes. A concerned passenger flagged down a flight attendant who ashed the cigarette on a seat tray and said: 'You cannot smoke on airplanes. It's against the law'. The man jumped and appeared startled when attendant put out the cigarette. Upon landing, airport police escorted him off the flight.

Those who profess to love it are as bonkers as the show itself. Like I said before I even watched it, it was just fantastical over-hyped garbage.

He started to build the modern 34,000-square-foot Los Angeles mansion in 2015 and listed it for $180million in 2018. But after a year of languishing on the market despite having interested buyers, Kanodia is now accepting offers $120million or more to purchase the lavish home - marking a whopping $60million price cut. The mansion is also being offered for rent at $1.5million a month. Kanodia is a renown surgeon most distinguished and beloved by celebrities for his scarless 'closed rhinoplasty' nose jobs and artistry.

A girl was seriously burned when her clothing fabric discharged static electricity which caused a fuel tank to explode at a gas station this week in central Mexico. A CCTV camera at the fuel station in Pinal de Amoles, Querétaro, shows the moment the seven-year-old girl's father is refueling a container that he had placed on the flatbed of his pickup truck. The man appears in the surveillance video holding the gas hose over the large-sized drum while his daughter innocently places her hand over the cover of the canister.

Judith Kerr (left aged six and right in her nineties), who died on Thursday aged 95, fled to Britain and eventually became one of the most successful children's illustrators and authors in the world. But she may never have survived to write any of them. Her father, a Jewish newspaper columnist in Weimar Germany, was an outspoken critic of the Nazis. In 1933 he was forced to flee Germany with the family when Judith was nine years old, moving them to Britain. Her background provoked many theories comparing the tiger in the book (inset with character Sophie) to the Nazis. But Judith's always said that the tiger was just a tiger. It was hungry, and it wanted its tea.

Actor John Cusack (pictured) has hit out at sports fans in a foul-mouthed rant after he was pictured sitting at the start of a military salute during a Chicago Cubs baseball game last night. The Con Air star, who is from Chicago, Illinois, was in a seat behind the home plate at the Cubs-Phillies game at Wrigley Field when spectators were invited to stand for a fourth inning 'Boeing military salute'. As Cusack remained sitting while others took to their feet, one fan captured the moment before posting it online. In a scathing Twitter response, Cusack repeatedly denied that he remained seated, blasting 'maga f***s' loyal to Trump of vastly exaggerating the incident because he didn't stand up 'fast enough'.
