'Well, howdy partner!': Tom Hanks meets a Toy Story fan with a huge Woody tattoo as he co-hosts TODAY with Savannah Guthrie

Tom Hanks co-hosted the TODAY Show on Thursday as the NBC headed to Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

While meeting some of the audience Hanks ran into a big Toy Story fan who showed him a massive Sheriff Woody tattoo on his torso.

Hanks took a selfie with the super fan who had lifted his shirt to show off the colorful inking and posted it to Instagram with the caption: 'Well, howdy partner! Where’s Buzz? Hanx'

The 62-year-old actor voices Woody in the animated franchise and is currently promoting Toy Story 4 which gets released June 21.

He's not the only fan that's made his love of the Disney film permanent in ink.

Newlyweds Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas got matching Toy Story tattoos back in October.

Jonas got 'To infinity' on his wrist while the Game of Thrones beauty got '& beyond' on hers.

During the show Hanks honored military veteran caregivers spotlighting the support they provide to men and women across the country. 

The Hidden Heroes campaign aims to provide resources and support for the community of 5.5 million military caregivers nationwide. 

Hanks serves as the chairman of Hidden Heroes initiative of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.

'You don't have to write a check,' Hanks said during the morning. 'You have to have a service you can provide. I think anybody could just ponder some of the blessings they have and pass it on.'

The show wrapped up two days of two days of local Hidden Heroes promotion by Hanks and former senator Elizabeth Dole.

The veterans and caregivers were also treated to a concert by nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow on the track at the famous speedway.

In addition to some of her hits, Crow played her song Redemption Day, a collaboration featuring the voice of late country music icon Johnny Cash that is part of her new album coming out on August 30. 

The track will also host the 103rd edition of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. 

Toy Story 4 is slated for release June 21.
