Back to work! Australia's Got Talent host Ricki-Lee Coulter covers up in an oversized jacket and leggings as she arrives for auditions in Melbourne

She's been away from television for the last few years.

But on Thursday, Ricki-Lee Coulter took the first steps towards her big comeback as she headed to the Australia's Got Talent auditions in Melbourne with her husband Richard Harrison.

The 33-year-old is the official host of the new series, which has been rebooted by Channel Seven.

She looked happy to be heading back to work, flashing a big warm smile at one point as she walked towards the venue.

The songstress was dressed casually, wearing a pair of sneakers, activewear tights and a jacket on top.

Her hair and makeup looked like it had been done, with her brunette locks bouncing down her shoulders in luscious waves.

While Ricki-Lee's appointment as AGT host has been met with praise from fans, there's been a swell of criticism on social media aimed at the 'bizarre' judging panel.

The judges for the new series include celebrity chef Manu Feildel, actor Shane Jacobson and musical theatre star Lucy Durack.

'What a weird random selection of judges. Are they expecting cooking auditions?' one Facebook user wrote.

'Manu? Really? I can just hear him now telling the contestants they need more sauce!' another person joked.

A third person asked: 'Why is a chef judging talent?'

The judging panel also includes former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, who has already worked as a judge on The X Factor in both the UK and the U.S.
