In the video he heaped praise on the president, who was recently attacked by some quarters of his party, stating: 'I know that you'll agree with me when I say that our president has our utmost respect and our love. 'This job is not easy for he's battling the left and their absurd words of destruction...  Our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln,' he added.

The embarrassing climb-down comes after the singer boasted of his relationship with the then '20-year-old' in his memoir Then It All Fell Apart, before doubling down on his recollection when Portman disputed his version of events labeling it 'disturbing'. He said on Instagram: 'I fully recognize that it was truly inconsiderate of me to not let her know about her inclusion in the book beforehand, and equally inconsiderate for me to not fully respect her reaction.... I accept that given the dynamic of our almost 14 year age difference I absolutely should've acted more responsibly and respectfully when Natalie and I first met almost 20 years ago.'

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have arrived in Tokyo, Japan to meet with the nation's new emperor and empress. The first couple landed just after 5 pm local time and were greeted on the tarmac by Japanese foreign affairs minister, Taro Kono, after 16 hours of flights. President Trump then addressed Japanese business leaders, including representatives for Toyota and SoftBank. 'We just spent many, many hours on the plane,' President Trump said at the Saturday evening dinner. 'Here we are. We just walked off the plane, and here we are.' Earlier the  president stopped at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, to refuel Air Force One on his way to Japan. He spent a few minutes with troops while he was there and shot a professional video that he posted to his Twitter account. He said in the 30-second montage: 'We're here with our great military, these are great, great future leaders. And they can all be famous after this.'

Police used a lewd image to identify the man known as the 'subway brake bandit', prosecutors allege.  Isaiah Thompson (pictured), 23, was arrested on Thursday, accused of pulling the emergency brakes on the back of New York City subway cars, triggering 747 delays over the span of three months.   Thompson is also alleged to have exposed himself on the back of a train on May 16 - an act that was witnessed by a commuter, who snapped a photo of the man's penis and forwarded it on to the cops. 

A Maine man was found guilty of raping and killing his high school friend at a playground after being caught on camera dragging her body into the woods. Jalique Keene, 22, of Bar Harbor, Maine, was found guilty of gross sexual assault and murder Friday following a four day trial for the June 2018 death of his high school friend, Mikaela Conley, 19, the Bangor Daily News reported. Keene, a star running back, and Conley were schoolmates at Mount Desert Island High School. He graduated in 2015, while Conley was still a sophomore.Police said that on May 31, 2018, Conley had gone to pick up Keene from a Boston airport after he flew back from playing amateur football in Serbia. They were said to have arrived back in Bar Harbor on June 1 at 1am, at which point they walked to the playground near Conley's home.

The Texas mansion where Nichol Olsen, 37, and her daughters, Alexa Montez, 16, and 10-year-old London Bribiescas, were found shot to death, has hit the market for $975,000. Olsen, and her daughters were found in a pool of blood in their San Antonio home in January. The Anaqua Springs Ranch home, which is owned by Charles Wheeler, Olsen's boyfriend, made its debut on Realtor.com on Thursday. According to the website, the 4,500 square-foot home sits on 2.7 acres of land and features four beds and 4.5 baths. Inside the gated front entry is a courtyard that's complete with a walk-in pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen and waterfall. The home, which was built in 2008, also has a three-car garage and a game room. Olsen and her two daughters were discovered by Wheeler on January 10. All three suffered gunshot wounds. The Bexar County Medical Examiner ruled that London and Alexa were murdered and that their mother had committed suicide. But the Bexar County Sheriff's Office is continuing their own investigation and said Wheeler remains a person of interest to this day.

A Tennessee man who tweeted out an elaborate, viral tale about the time he stole a brick of heroin from MS-13 is now claiming that the story was a lie and has started a fundraiser to help him go into hiding because he fears for his life. Shane Morris, a web developer from Nashville, Tennessee, took to Twitter Monday night with a 109-tweet thread recounting a road trip he took with a friend. 'Y'all wanna hear a story about the time I accidentally transported a brick of heroin from Los Angeles to Seattle? I bet. Alright, let's do this...' Morris tweeted. What followed was a saga about how he and his friend bought a cheap van to use during their road trip, discovered a kilo of heroin inside it and sold the drugs to someone to get it out of his hands.

The bodies of John Reinhardt (right), 20, and Caitlin Frangel (left), 19, were discovered Friday in a submerged vehicle near the Mississippi River in Missouri, bringing the death toll to nine from storms that have ravaged the central US this week and threaten major flooding through the holiday weekend. They were reported missing on May 15. Their bodies were found around 4am on a flooded rural road that runs along the river at Portage Des Sioux, about 40 miles north of St Louis. Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Dallas Thompson said an autopsy determined they both drowned. 'We believe they went into it in the dark, not knowing the roadway was flooded, and they were unable to get out,' Thompson said. On Friday, authorities reported that an elderly couple was hurled 600ft from their home and another woman died in her mobile home when tornadoes ripped through the state. Kenneth Harris, 86, and his wife Opal, 83, were discovered hundreds of feet from their home in Golden City, while Betty Berg, 56, died when her tiny house was wrecked on Thursday. The Midwest storms killed another two people in Missouri earlier this week, as well as one death in Oklahoma and another in Iowa. Heavy rain in recent weeks has spurred major flooding in several states.

A never-before published letter details how Consuelo (left) told the Duke (bottom right with a friend and Consuelo), just a few years into their marriage, that she was deeply in love with New York socialite Winthrop Rutherford (inset). The letter overturns the shockingly dishonest account of the marriage that Consuelo gave in her memoir, The Glitter And The Gold. The Duke, for his part, was also in love with someone else, but married Consuelo, with the approval of his family, because they were on their uppers and the vast income the marriage guaranteed meant that Blenheim (top right) would be saved for future generations. The union was a disaster and the couple, who had two sons, separated after 11 years.

Sir Nick Faldo's new partner Lindsay De Marco (pictured together) has been married six times before, according to an ex-husband after the golfer was spotted with her in New York last weekend. Sir Nick, who won six majors in his career, was spotted with the 56-year-old at the PGA Championship and flew her to the UK this week, where they visited Windsor Castle. Ms De Marco was named Mrs Conservative US in 2012. Ms DeMarco confirmed she is Sir Nick's girlfriend when questioned but didn't comment on the claims regarding her previous marriages. She also refused to confirm whether she had any drug convictions, after reports said she faced a charge of 'use of interstate conveyance to ship drug paraphernalia'.

Sylvester Stallone was supported by his glamorous daughter Sistine and wife Jennifer Flavin at a special screening of his new film Rambo V: Last Blood on Friday.   The legendary actor, 72, was suited and booted as he arrived for the launch at the Cannes Film Festival with his wife of 22 years Jennifer, 50. The couple were also joined by their beautiful daughter Sistine, 20, who stunned in a plunging bronze gown for the launch.

The owners of the Ark Encounter attraction in Williamstown, Kentucky say in a federal lawsuit that heavy rains in 2017 and 2018 caused a landslide on its access road. The religious tourist destination's insurance carriers refused to cover the damage. The 510-foot-long wooden ark has been a popular northern Kentucky attraction since its 2016 opening. The lawsuit says the road has been rebuilt. The ark was not damaged. The suit names Allied World Assurance Co. Holdings of Switzerland, its use company and three other insurance carriers as defendants. Ark Encounter seeks compensatory and punitive damages. The Swiss company hasn't responded in court filings.

Police released surveillance footage on Friday of the April 28 attempted robbery that took place around 1am at an Oak Grove Plaid Pantry in Portland, Oregon. The video shows a mask-wearing robber pacing on the sidewalk outside of the store before entering and approaching the counter. He pulls a hatchet out of his pocket as he confronts the cashier on duty. Seconds later, the clerk calmly pulls a handgun and aims it at the robber.

Tourists are flocking to an ancient Balinese village where bodies are laid out to rot instead of being buried or cremated - as 'dark tourism' becomes more popular. Villagers from Trunyan in the north of the island are laid to rest in bamboo cages underneath a sacred tree where their bodies are left to decompose in the smothering Indonesian heat.  

An Illinois high school history teacher has been suspended after a video showing him rubbing the back and grabbing the waist of a teenage female student went viral. In the video filmed on Monday, Travis Holland can be seen rubbing his hand up and down the back of a teenage girl in a classroom at Eagerville Highschool. Holland’s hand then slowly motions down towards her lower back, then across to her waist, where the teacher and school’s baseball coach appears to pull her in closer towards him.

The clarity of Lake Tahoe's cobalt blue water improved last year from its worst level in a half-century after weather and runoff returned to more normal conditions at the alpine lake straddling the California-Nevada line. A dinner plate-sized disc used to measure clarity was visible at an average depth of 70.9 feet (21.6 meters) in 2018, scientists at the University of California, Davis, Tahoe Environmental Research Center said Thursday. That's an improvement of 10.5 feet (3.2 meters) from 2017 when a winter with unusually heavy snow followed years of drought, sending sediment into the scenic lake known for its pine tree-lined beaches and ski resorts.

Mount Agung volcano (main), in Bali, erupted on Friday, spreading ash across the Indonesian island. Flights in and out of Bali airport have been cancelled. The eruption lasted four minutes and 30 seconds, lava was seen spurting out of the crater and down the slope for three kilometres. Volcanic ash rained (inset) and affected villages in the nearby regions of Karangasem and Bangli but No immediate evacuation was called as the villages are well within the safe zone.

Troubled reality TV star Luann de Lesseps was seen in The Hamptons the day after her dramatic day in court. The 54-year-old star of The Real Housewives of New York - also known as The Countess - returned to her home in Sag Harbor on Long Island in New York immediately after her probation violation hearing in Palm Beach. On Friday morning was seen picking up groceries with an unidentified male companion, who stayed out of the photographs.

By soaring over rooftops in Iran's capital, Tehran, 16 floors up, backflipping between buildings and 'suicide kissing' a woman while hanging upside down off the side of massive structures, Alireza Japalaghy, 27, said he was able to channel his negative emotions. Japalaghy started free-running when his father - an ex policeman - went missing during his retirement and never came home. He said: 'What better way for me to get rid of all my emotions than by channelling them through my career, doing all of this parkour?'
