Two 12-year-old boys were helped to safety after they became stuck on a 75ft cliff in Torquay. Fears were raised and the coastguard team was alerted after they were spotted in trouble. It came just days after a group of youngsters were also stuck on Wednesday. Eyewitness Seth Richards, 39, who spotted the group said: 'One slip and he could very easily have plunged off the rocks and been injured or even killed. 'The water below didn't appear very high. I'd say the drop was about 75 feet.'

D-Day veterans pay poignant visit to memorial garden at Chelsea Flower Show

The moving images feature one former soldier using a walking stick embracing another who has stood up out of his wheelchair in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea (left). There are 15 stone plinths that represent troops who fought during the landings at Normandy in 1944, with metal figures also showing young soldiers as they walked up the beach. As many as 75 veterans were invited to the Royal Hospital Chelsea to give talks on their experiences, with some in wheelchairs (right) and others using walking sticks.
