Marlen Ochoa Lopez's husband helped to carry her coffin (third from left) as she was laid to rest in Stickney, Illinois, on Saturday. Husband Yovany was joined by the victim's family, including Marlen's mother and grandmother pictured top right, at the service. A picture of Ochoa-Lopez on her wedding day was placed in front of her casket. Many wore t-shirts with Marlen's picture on as they shared memories of the teen. 'It just started. This is all very hard. It feels like it will never end', her uncle said. Lopez's newborn son, Yadiel, remains in the intensive care unit on a ventilator. Three people are in custody on murder and concealment of a corpse charges including Clarisa Figueroa.

Each year, the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, which is named 'The Old Guard,' places flags at each grave in the Virginia cemetery ahead of Memorial Day weekend. However, severe weather blew in with heavy rain pouring down on the cemetery, along with gale-force winds on Thursday. As onlookers ran for cover, the soldiers carried on with their duty including one who stood out from the crowd, who continued on (pictured). It was my first time living in London properly and I wanted to try every pub. A never-before published letter details how Consuelo (left) told the Duke (bottom right with a friend and Consuelo), just a few years into their marriage, that she was deeply in love with New York socialite Winthrop Rutherford (inset). The letter overturns the shockingly dishonest account of the marriage that Consuelo gave in her memoir, The Glitter And The Gold. The Duke, for his part, was also in love with someone else, but married Consuelo, with the approval of his family, because they were on their uppers and the vast income the marriage guaranteed meant that Blenheim (top right) would be saved for future generations. Martin Anderson of Camby was arrested at his home on Thursday in connection with an animal fighting investigation that allegedly saw dogs chained up and bred for the sole purpose of killing other pit bulls in the barbaric bloodsport.    Neighbors said Anderson was known to take in stray dogs but said they did not know of his alleged evil activities.

The most common areas for fat to be injected are the lips, cheeks or into the bottom to create a pert, lifted effect – emulating the silhouettes of reality star Kim Kardashian (right), and singers Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé (although none of them have admitted to having buttock enhancing surgery).

A Tennessee man who tweeted out an elaborate, viral tale about the time he stole a brick of heroin from MS-13 is now claiming that the story was a lie and has started a fundraiser to help him go into hiding because he fears for his life. Shane Morris, a web developer from Nashville, Tennessee, took to Twitter Monday night with a 109-tweet thread recounting a road trip he took with a friend. 'Y'all wanna hear a story about the time I accidentally transported a brick of heroin from Los Angeles to Seattle? I bet. Alright, let's do this...' Morris tweeted. What followed was a saga about how he and his friend bought a cheap van to use during their road trip, discovered a kilo of heroin inside it and sold the drugs to someone to get it out of his hands.

In the aftermath of the Battle of Britain, the country was faced with widespread destruction caused by bombing, disruption and damage to infrastructure. Tourists are flocking to an ancient Balinese village where bodies are laid out to rot instead of being buried or cremated - as 'dark tourism' becomes more popular. Villagers from Trunyan in the north of the island are laid to rest in bamboo cages underneath a sacred tree where their bodies are left to decompose in the smothering Indonesian heat.  

The photos of the famous village on the United States East coast were taken in April 1960. They were unearthed in the TopFoto photographic archive in Edenbridge, Kent, England. They images show the famous Gaslight Café (left), where stars such as Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springsteen worked. Greenwich village was filled with many jazz-heavy basement bars (right) and coffee houses, popular among some of the most famous talents of the era. Poets, authors and artists such as Truman Capote, Dylan Thomas and Jackson Pollock frequented this hippie paradise.

Police released surveillance footage on Friday of the April 28 attempted robbery that took place around 1am at an Oak Grove Plaid Pantry in Portland, Oregon. The video shows a mask-wearing robber pacing on the sidewalk outside of the store before entering and approaching the counter. He pulls a hatchet out of his pocket as he confronts the cashier on duty. Seconds later, the clerk calmly pulls a handgun and aims it at the robber.

The clarity of Lake Tahoe's cobalt blue water improved last year from its worst level in a half-century after weather and runoff returned to more normal conditions at the alpine lake straddling the California-Nevada line. A dinner plate-sized disc used to measure clarity was visible at an average depth of 70.9 feet (21.6 meters) in 2018, scientists at the University of California, Davis, Tahoe Environmental Research Center said Thursday. That's an improvement of 10.5 feet (3.2 meters) from 2017 when a winter with unusually heavy snow followed years of drought, sending sediment into the scenic lake known for its pine tree-lined beaches and ski resorts.

Mount Agung volcano (main), in Bali, erupted on Friday, spreading ash across the Indonesian island. Flights in and out of Bali airport have been cancelled. The eruption lasted four minutes and 30 seconds, lava was seen spurting out of the crater and down the slope for three kilometres. Volcanic ash rained (inset) and affected villages in the nearby regions of Karangasem and Bangli but No immediate evacuation was called as the villages are well within the safe zone.

Troubled reality TV star Luann de Lesseps was seen in The Hamptons the day after her dramatic day in court. The 54-year-old star of The Real Housewives of New York - also known as The Countess - returned to her home in Sag Harbor on Long Island in New York immediately after her probation violation hearing in Palm Beach. On Friday morning was seen picking up groceries with an unidentified male companion, who stayed out of the photographs.

Wildlife photographer Caron Steele managed to capture the moment the young cubs woke from their nap and started to 'mess around with each other' in Silver Salmon Creek, Alaska (pictured), as she sat 90 feet away. Mrs Steele ,45, from Worcestershire, England, said the perfect action shot took over a week to capture.
