In a Facebook video posted on Saturday, 35-year-old Amanda Eller voiced how she often found herself struggling to carry on as she constantly engulfed in fear while out in the Maui woods for more than 2 weeks. 'The last 17 days of my life have been the toughest days of my life,' she said in the clip . 'It's been a really significant spiritual journey that I was guided on and there were times of total fear and loss and wanting to give up, and it did come down to life and death, and I had to choose. I chose life. I wasn't going to take the easy way out, even though that meant more pain and suffering for myself.' Eller went missing on May 8 after leaving her phone behind while hiking in the Makawao Forest Reserve trail in Maui. She suffered sunburn, a broken leg after falling 20 foot on the third day and lost her shoes during a flash flood four days into her ordeal in the thick forest. The yoga instructor survived by sleeping in a boar's den and by eating moths. 

Man is arrested for 'sexually assaulting and giving drugs to 13-year-old girl' whose body

A 47-year-old man has been charged in the case of the Massachusetts teenager who ran away from home was dropped off at hospital the next day where she later died.  Carlos Rivera was arrested Saturday morning and Lawrence Police said he gave drugs to Chloe Ricard, 13, who was pronounced dead in the emergency room of Lawrence General Hospital on Monday night soon after the man left her with medical staff saying the teenager needed help. Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said in a statement Rivera was accompanied by an unidentified girl under the age of 16 when Ricard was dumped at the ER, about 30 miles north of Boston, around 4.47pm.

Wilson Edward Jackson, 37, was arrested on Thursday for stealing at least a dozen women's identities and credit cards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Martin Anderson of Camby was arrested at his home on Thursday in connection with an animal fighting investigation that allegedly saw dogs chained up and bred for the sole purpose of killing other pit bulls in the barbaric bloodsport.    Neighbors said Anderson was known to take in stray dogs but said they did not know of his alleged evil activities.

Greenwich Village was filled with many jazz-heavy basement bars and coffee houses, popular among some of the most famous talents of the era, including Bob Dylan (center).
