Love & Hip Hop star Remy Ma has been arraigned Friday accused of punching reality show rival Brittney Taylor in the face during a cancer benefit in New York in April.

The Bronx-born rapper-turned-TV-personality, whose real name is Remy Smith, told reporters she wasn't looking forward to her trial, which is slated for July 12, before taking a dig at her accuser.

'No, who looks forward to going to trial? I have things to do in my life — like, I have a real job, I have a family, I have a husband, I have a daughter,' the 38-year-old said.

'You guys should probably Google the people that you guys are calling "stars" and that you guys are, you know, giving credibility to. Look into them,' NYDN reported.

Tough time: Taylor took to Instagram to show off physical injuries she had suffered in the wake of the alleged attack

The Bronx-born rapper-turned-TV-personality, whose real name is Remy Smith (pictured in Manhattan Criminal Court on Friday), told reporters she wasn't looking forward to her trial, slated for July 12, before taking thinly veiled swipe at her accuser Brittney Taylor, 27 (pictured right, with bruises)

Ma, pictured in Manhattan Criminal Court on Friday, allegedly punched Taylor, a star of Love and Hip Hop New York, leaving her with a black eye. Taylor, 27, did not report the incident until two days later.

Prosecutors filed four charges against Ma. Two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree - all of which are misdemeanors.

The beef between the pair began when Ma allegedly took exception to a comment Taylor made about her stepdaughter - who at the time was apparently in an abusive relationship.

According to Taylor, Ma attacked her backstage at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza just 9.30pm. The pair were in the green room when Taylor allegedly made the remark about an attack that Ma's stepdaughter was the victim of.

NYPD officers eventually arrested Ma earlier this month. She remains free on parole until August for shooting a Bronx woman and wounding her.

Prosecutor Juan Maldonado offered Smith the opportunity to plead to assault in exchange for anger management classes and no jail time but the offer was rejected.

Ma, who is married to the Brooklyn rapper Papoose, is currently charged with assault in the third, aggravated harassment in the second and harassment in the second, all misdemeanors

Ma, who previously spent six years in prison for shooting a girlfriend in the stomach after accusing her of stealing money from her purse, denies the charges and insists Taylor is making them up.

She had three months left on her parole when the alleged incident took place.

In 2008, Ma accused friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph of stealing $3,000 out of her purse.

She shot her twice in the stomach as a result of the dispute. The rapper was sentenced to spend eight years in prison but served six.

Her attorneys insist that she was not even at the concert at the time Taylor says she was assaulted.

They have vowed to fight the charge.

Taylor made their disagreement public last month by sharing a photograph of herself on Instagram in which she appeared to have a black eye.

She has deleted the post since but it was captioned: 'So, here am I on my way to a very important meeting and it's hard to even focus because of what occurred last night.

'I didn't wanna bring it to social media because Its pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh. I tried my best to cover it up with make up and move on but that still didn't work. My Question is @remyma why did you really do this?'

The 38-year-old posted $1,500 in bail. She did not make a comment as she entered and left the court (pictured on May 1)

Taylor's attorneys say she is cooperating with the police. She has also sued Ma for damages.

'This arrest demonstrates how serious this matter is, it is real life and not reality TV entertainment.

'The victim Brittney Taylor has confidence in our system of justice and will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities,' her lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein, told E! News last month.
