'His legal requirement is for him to put her in hospitals when she decompensates'.

'He did that. People are claiming he held her against her will. Well, the law holds her against her will. The dad was just doing as he has to do.

Now she'd like to get out of that conservatorship, to which she is 'entitled.'

'In the meantime, leave Britney alone,' Drew added.

Last week it emerged that Britney's father Jamie filed documents in an attempt extend his conservatorship over her his famous daughter and make it valid in three key states.

TMZ reported on Wednesday that the 66-year-old father of the 37-year-old pop star  has given notice to a California judge that he intends on filing documents to also declare himself conservator in Florida, Louisiana, and Hawaii.

The ...Baby One More Time hitmaker's mother Lynne resides in Kentwood, Louisiana.

The publication also claims that though Britney has no intentions on traveling to those states in the immediate future, their sources say Jamie believes there are people on social media who may make a play to take her away if she leaves the state.

Despite reports that Britney and mom Lynne are trying to reduce the scope of Jamie's power within the conservatorship, sources say Britney is actually involving him in her life 'more than usual' and chooses to speak to him at least three times a day.

The website reports that the conservatorship is 'business as usual', the way it has been for 11 years and the singer is free to come and go as she pleases - with certain restrictions.

The source tells TMZ that liquor stores are off limits. Around the time of her breakdown in 2007 the pop icon was known to have alcohol issues.

She has security with her at all times but they don't get involved unless there's a 'red flag'.

However, Britney apparently doesn't like that her father won't let her have an iPhone. With Jamie concerned about social media and people with 'ulterior motives' contacting the star.

They go on to say Britney and ex-husband Kevin Federline still officially share 50/50 joint custody of their two sons Sean, 13 and Jayden, 12, but the time Britney gets to spend with her boys on a weekly basis varies depending on the circumstances.

'Britney does what she wants. The conservatorship protects her, but with a few exceptions, it doesn't restrict her in her day-to-day life.'

It's been four months since Britney canceled her second Las Vegas residency Domination to 'put my full focus and energy on my family' and father Jamie who has been very ill and 'almost died' in November.

The crooner has been under court-ordered permanent conservatorship of her father Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet since being put on 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold in 2008.

A source told PEOPLE that Britney, who was admitted to a treatment center last month for mental health issues, is currently experiencing 'debilitating emotional issues'.

'It's like she isn't in control over her emotions right now' they added, explaining that the star needs to be treated with medications and that 'Everything is very up and down.'

According to the source, the mother-of-two experiences a range of emotions on a daily basis.

'Right now, she is very sluggish and down. Some days, she is a zombie. There is no life and definitely no passion in her. It's very sad.'

The pop superstar appeared in front of a judge in Los Angeles last week and alleged that Jamie was the one responsible for having her committed to rehab last month.

She argued that under the rules of the conservatorship, Jamie does not have the power to either commit her against her will or make her take prescription pills.

'Britney doesn't care if Jamie is left in control of her finances with the conservatorship of the estate remaining,' a source told Us Weekly this week.

'However, according to Britney, the conservatorship of her personal life needs to end. She is finished with Jamie having control of her personal life and wants to have her own control over that.'
