Kanye West gets emotional as he reveals his sadness that mom Donda never got to met her grandchildren during interview with David Letterman
Kanye West was devastated by the death of his mother, Donda, in 2007.
And he is set to reveal his sadness that she never got to meet his own children, in an exclusive interview with David Letterman.
The 41-year-old rapper told the chat show host that it would be the 'funnest time of her life' if she was here, in a preview clip posted by his wife Kim Kardashian on Friday.

Kim shared the one minute clip, which sees Kanye speak emotionally about the loss of his mother, to her Twitter account.
She captioned: 'Kanye opens up to David Letterman like you’ve never seen him on My Next Guest, streaming on @Netflix May 31.'
Kanye, sporting bleached blonde hair, is seen sitting opposite the broadcasting pro, with Kim looking on from the audience.

'This would have been the funnest time of her life to have those kids running around that house and being able to like go and buy them toys,' he tells Letterman, of his mother - who passed away suddenly in 2007 following complications after having plastic surgery; she was 58 years old.
The College Dropout star explained that he attached extra value to items she had bought him, after she passed away.
'I remember my mom bought me a bear that was multi-coloured and I was very into [artist] Takashi Murakami at the time..when that third album Graduation..so she bought it she said it kinda feels like Takashi Murakami and I was sort of like "I don't want that - that ain't no Takashi Murakami bear" and stuff like that,' he fondly recalled.

He continued: 'And then she passed, you know, a few weeks after and I did you know everything I could to find that bear and place that bear on top of all the Takashi Murakami stuff I had in the house.'
Thoughtfully, he added: 'She's here with us and she's guiding us,' as the audience applauded.
Donda had liposuction, a tummy tuck, and a breast reduction, the day before she died.
Months later, West and then-fiancée Alexis Phifer ended their engagement and their long-term intermittent relationship, which had begun in 2002.
Kim and Kanye didn't welcome their first child, North, until June 2013, and they married in May the following year.
They share four children, including son Psalm who was born earlier this month via surrogate.
Son Saint is now three and daughter Chicago - also born via surrogate - is 16 months old.
