Eva is also stepmother to Jose's three children - Natalia, 22; and twins Mariana & Jose, 14 - from his first marriage to Natalia Esperón.
The star was previously married to soap actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004 and then to pro basketball player Tony Parker from 2007 to 2011.
After her very public split from her second husband, Eva revealed that she did think about parenthood but later admitted she didn't know if children were in her future.
Before tying the knot with Bastón in May 2016, the actress added that she was aware her age could be a factor in getting pregnant.
Any day now: The Desperate Housewives star was looking relaxed and happy as she showed off her bump just three days before the birth on Saturday
'I just turned 40, so I have thought, 'Is time running out?' ' she said. 'I should be thinking about [children], but I feel like my life is full.'
She added that Bastón's three children from a previous marriage were a 'gift,' saying, 'We are fulfilled. If there is anything else to come, it would be icing on the cake.'
The actress recently revealed though that she was finding pregnancy 'hard', pointing out: 'Everything's uncomfortable. It's not just your belly - everything gets bigger. I've never seen my thighs so big, and my boobs, they're in the way of everything. It's hard.'
Despite feeling uncomfortable, the Over Her Dead Body actress also claimed being pregnant makes her feel empowered while she's at work.
She said: 'Having my life now with my son and living it with him is great. When I'm directing he is with me, at the Golden Globes he is with me. [It] makes me very happy.'
And Eva also shared her hope that her son will learn to 'applaud and honour' feminism when he grows up, because she believes the world needs 'more good men'.
She said: 'We have this wonderful wave of future feminists coming into this world with a different view of what this global community we live in should look like.'
'I'm so excited that I'm having a boy because I think the world needs more good men. This boy, my son, will be surrounded by very strong, educated, powerful women and I think it's important that he sees those types of role models in his life so he knows how to support it, how to applaud it and how to honour it.'
