Actress Sophie Rundle was spotted out and about on Sunday with her boyfriend and their new puppy, where she and her beau packed on the PDA in a London park.

The pair's appearance comes just hours before episode two of Sophie's BBC show Gentleman Jack is set to air - in which she enjoys many-a smooch with co-star Suranne Jones.

The actresses portray lesbian lovers Anne Lister [Jones] and her secret partner Ann Walker [Rundle] and is based on the former's 4 million word journals, charting her forbidden affairs.

But there was nothing forbidden about Sophie, 31, and her man - whose name is Matt.

The pair enjoyed their intimate moment in the middle of the park, under the sunshine, while puppy Buddy - whom they got in April - kept himself busy.

The pair enjoyed a lengthy kiss, before continuing their stroll in the grass.

Sophie was seen climbing on of the park's outdoor exercise machines, attempting some pull-ups while her man watched on.

Both were dressed down - with the Peaky Blinders starlet in a black baggy dress, over a striped Tee, with white trainers on.

Sophie's day out comes after Gentleman Jack was renewed for a second series, less than a week after airing its first episode.

The BBC confirmed on Thursday that the period drama will return to screens after earning 5.6 million viewers with its opening episode on Sunday. 

Writer Sally Wainwright - who based the series on Anne's real-life collection of journals said: 'It's so exciting that so many people have had such a positive response to Suranne's exuberant performance as the brilliant, life-affirming Anne Lister and to Sophie's beautiful performance as her courageous partner, Ann Walker.
